If you're looking for a simple meal for lunch that is inexpensive look no further. The panini sandwiches were delicious and the staff was very friendly. They did not speak English and managed to get our order right both times my husband and I ate there. I'm glad we stopped in!

This cafe was fine for a leisurely coffee or a snack but not an extensive menu for dining out. staff were friendly

We ate lunch there at least 4 times and even took out sandwiches with us. The food is simple but tasty, does not feel touristy at all. Close to the beach, excellent service, well priced.

My husband and I happened across the Black Stallion on a hot afternoon, and decided to take a table inside. So glad we did, because we were warmly welcomed by one of the owners, Trine, who proceeded to recommend a couple of the house specials for us. The food was tasty, the service was great, and the warm hospitality added... More

Excellent place to chill out with friends in Santa Margherita down town.  Very friendly and nice staff which speak a good English.

This is a great little bar! Tons of locals and a great atmosphere. We sat down for a drink and ended up chatting away with a table of local ladies next to us in a mix of italian, english and spanish. We weren't eating so they even offered us their food. :) Great time. This is a really neat place... More

This was one of the highlights on our cruise trips. Trina was most welcoming and we could have sat there for hours. Lunch menu looked fabulous though we were on a time schedule so a snack and a cold wine was just what we needed. The perfect place to visit if you can. Many good memories of the Black Stallion... We were exploring Santa Margherita with our new friends from Australia we had met on our cruise ship. Sandi, one of our new friends, had a friend from Australia who had been to Santa Margherita before and she suggested that we make a stop at the Black Stallion. It is a wonderful little tavern one block in from the beach... More
