Wonderful pesto, pasta, vino

We enjoyed a wonderful family dinner here upon arrival at Santa Margherita Ligure. Arrived early in the evening, and the owner lavished attention on us, was very charming, and the pasta dishes were just great. Nice ambience, a bit off the beaten path on a quiet side street. The pesto pasta was... read more

This restaurant is tucked away under the arch behind the Lido Palace hotel. On a Tuesday evening in early June we were the only customers. - the whole town seemed very quiet this week. The room is decorated and furnished charmingly, making the most of the high ceiling, and creates a comfortable informal ambience. The owner/manager (?) and her daughter... More

Food is really very basic but "basic" in the bad (and sad) way. Too oily. Too salty. Too cold. Not tasty. Not special. Menu / choices very limited. And prices are not really expensive but not as "basic" as the food. Prices are too high for the quality of the food. And you will pay 2.50 euros per person for... More

My wife and I were looking for a quick light lunch and came upon this delightful place almost by accident. The interior was inviting and the welcome was warm. Our set lunch of salad and pasta was just what we wanted, washed down with some very drinkable house wine. The service was quick and efficient. The english speaking waitress was... More

We just got back from a very enjoyable evening at this small and nice restaurant situated a few steps from the "main street". We were the first guests this evening and got a very pleasant and personal service all through our dinner. There was a cozy ambiance with a light setting that we really appreciated ("dimmed lights") and the food... More

Just enjoyed the best lunch we've had in our 7 days in this lovely town. Would have passed by the restaurant but couldn't resist the great aromas coming from the kitchen which opens onto the lane way next door to the restaurant door ( the cute little doggie outside also an attraction). Yummy food, great friendly helpful service. Felt very... More

We ate here last week, - the restaurant was deserted for most of the time we were there. There is no outside seating, and inside is tatty, in need of renovation. The food was ok, nothing sensational. My whole baked sea bass came in foil, and was quite pleasant. My husband's tuna steak came with a kind of mint jelly... More

We visited the city for 18 days. Had fabulous meals each of the 4 times we family owned restaurant. Delicate, delicious , fresh seafood always seemed available! Sweet waitress, minimal English, maximum charm. Find this out of the way alley/street. You won't regret it.

You cannot come here without eating at this restaurant. Wonderful staff, incredible food. Made us feel like family. Never knew I liked pesto until I had the house specialty. Incredible!

We stumbled onto this little gem of a restaurant and had a fantastic lunch. Mom was busy cooking so one or two dishes came out at a time but our group was open to sharing and we were glad we did. The minestrone soup was delicious as was the black tagallettere with sea bass and saffron. Our servers, the daughter... More
