Very enjoyable carpaccio for me and veal in tuna sauce (unlikely-sounding combination) for husband. Both very nice but veal cold (not obvious from menu). Good wine! No fish on menu.

Amazing food and great wine. The lemon pasta with poppy seeds was a hit. Highly recommend this choice. We also had the pesto pasta. It was very good, but rich. You have to really like pesto. The service was prompt and friendly and the entire meal with wine was very affordable. Only 52 euros including a bottle of wine, appetizer... More

Stumbled across this charming place when looking for somewhere for dinner & it did not disappoint. Food was beautiful, very friendly & attentive staff with reasonable prices. We had a table for 2 out in the alley with candles around us. We had a homemade zucchini tart to start with, pumpkin & sausage pasta & Ligurian spaghetti followed by a... More

We had a very cosy lunch at Macchiavello. Seating outside, enjoying their trofie and pansotti, togetheter with some nice wine. The waitress was very friendly and there was a special atmosphere. Intimate and romantic, despite sitting in one of the city's main shopping streets.

I always used to get my apéritif here before lunch. The staff is seriously great and friendly, so this time I decided to have lunch there as well, the choice on their menu is small but the quality proved really good! and very affordable. Lovely place to go in Santa Margherita!

This looks like a small wine shop for tourists but on the basis of reviews here we tried it for an evening meal. Sadly, we had had a good lunch, so only ordered pasta followed by dessert. This was excellent and I wanted to return the following evening for a full meal but Tuesday is their day off and Wednesday... More

We looked through the door and thought this Restaurant looked really busy ,and attractive, we hoped that this meant that it was going to be good and that they would be able to get us in . The waitress was really welcoming and showed us to a little table tucked away at the back in a little alcove surrounded by... More

Visited this wine bar based on TripAdvisor ratings. Wine lust is very extensive - comes in a bound book contains hundreds of wines by region varying from £18-1000. Pretty limited menu of 4 starters and 5-6 mains. Absolutely brilliant entrees - couldn't fault them for €9. Thought the mains were steep. For example €13 for a plate of raw veges... More
