We recently dined here and had a great experience. The restaurant setting is no frills and basic but the service and food was great. It is a family run restaurant and the guy that took us through the menu was passionate and encouraged us to try a selection of local specialties for our first course. He also asked if we... More

This a great restaurant with great service, the waiter, Igor, spoke English, suggested some dishes and brought some samples to try which were traditional to the area. The only complaint from us was that we wanted to go back but they are not open on Saturday

We loved this place. My mother who is a bit of a foodie was uncertain and wanted to go down the street but we read about this place and really wanted an authentic experience and we had one. The food was amazing as well as the service and the price. Igor was amazing and explained everything in detail to us.... More

Great good in this little diner. The mixed torts was wonderful and unique. The marinated seafood was fresh. The lasagna rich and authentic. Prices were great. The liter of house red wine was very good.

Well, we definitely wouldn't have stopped just walking by, it looks like a deli and nothing special, however, this family cooks amazing food! Our favorite from the trip. We were getting tired (believe it or not) of every restaurant/ fish/rawmeat/pizza all tasting about the same. This place is something different, and delicious! Try the pesto lasagna, the lasagna ragu, the... More

After eating at Il Nostromo (#1 on TA which is perfectly o.k), we found this place on our last night in SML. The menu changes daily and serves authentic Ligurian food. The atmosphere is good in my opinion but don't expect fine dining, this is a local trattoria. Find a dish with Ligurian pesto and go for it. The meal... More

Loved this family run restaurant! A cheerful and friendly atmosphere and great food that is essentially Italian.

Local produce and cooking. Waiter was very knowledgeable. Had the stuffed sardines and vegetables plus salad. Their pies looked amazing and many locals were dining there, always a good sign.

A real gem in the heart of Santa Margherita Ligure. Cafeteria atmosphere and prices, but first rate food! We ate here twice and not one disappointment -- I think you could order at random from the daily menu and still eat like a king or queen in a place that feels like Grandma's house. Tip: if you don't know Italian,... More

We're Italian and live abroad. We were in the area for a long weekend and loved this place. Genuine local cuisine, friendly staff, informal atmosphere and cheap. No rip offs! Highly recommend Focaccia fritta (fried focaccia).
