Good prices and good food

We arrived here for lunch before making our way to Portofino. There was a mix of locals and tourist in the restaurant. We had difficulty with the specials board as it was all written in Italian, but we manned to 'google' some of the items, and the waiter who spoke good english helped to recommend... read more

Ate at this family run establishment last year as it had traditional home cooked food, and enjoyed it. Went back in the evening that we arrived here in Santa Margherita this year, and were not quite as impressed. The minestrone was good, as were my husband's stuffed sardines. The socca, usually a highlight, was still delicious, but very oily. The... More

This was our 8th restaurant that we've tried in Santa Margherita, including several at the top of the tripadvisor lists, and my husband said it was the best. It is a family run restaurant, - you won't get cordon bleu food here, but well cooked real Italian traditional food. We were served quickly by a charming English speaking gentleman, our... More

We have taken away various things from this place, as an alternative to dining out; it is a no-nonsense and fair priced place with well tasting food; a fair understanding of Italian will help

this was the worst meal we had during our travels to Italy. The house red was terrible, the pasta starter with green pesto was swimming in water and my wife's main was a re-heated mix of some sort of tarte called Misto Torte which had been made many hours before, probably in the morning so it was very soggy. Dear guest, here's the owner writing. I'm sorry if something was wrong in your meal. But to advice other customers in the future, it's better to ask at the moment, during the meal, if something does not go in the right way, becouse In every work problems can happen. So me and my staff, we can solve any problems at... More

This is so difficult to review, because we went twice during our May visit. The first time it was very good with great and attentive service. the second time it was average only, with rather neglectful service. Ligurian specialities are listed on a board. Do try the delicious farinata.

"Home made like" food in a family ambiance. Our server made great recommendations and food was excellent. Very typical Genovese cuisine and reasonable prices. Will come back anytime. It is worthy saying that we were the only tourists at that time. The place was full with locals. Located in City Center.

No violins, no fireworks. Local food for decent prices. Family with a toddler, we chose this spot over many touristic and fancy looking places in Santa Margherita. Menu is very local, and prices too. I was satisfied with the food, not overwhelmed. You get what you pay for. Staff was efficient and fast, not overly pleasant. The room is spacious,... More

We visit Santa Margherita often and love that part of the Italian Riviera. Mostly, however, it is expensive and showy - the epitome of "la bella figura". Da Pezzi however is completely different. Fans, not aircon, not a lot of english spoken but sign language works if you don't talk italian. The food is local and good, plain fare cooked... More
