This simple, traditional and cosy restaurant is located in a back street of the main shopping road down at the seaside in Santa Margherita. This is nice, as it's not that crowded even though obviously a lot of Italians and some tourists regularly go there. The kitchen is typically Italian. All fish and seafood is fresh and tasty. I had... More

We found this place tucked in into some secondary quiet street upon asking someone local who pointed out 3 different restaurants on a Santa Margherita Ligure map. We took our chances and picked this one up not really knowing what to expect, based on the "homemade pastas and traditional Genoese cooking" caption. And we scored. We were the first patrons... More

This superb restaurant is obviously a favourite with local people, and it's easy to see why. The menu is not massive, but very Italian, and food is well cooked. It's overseen by the owner, who speaks very good English. Not cheap, but you have to pay for quality, and that's what you get here. It is not in a conspicuous... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this cozy 10 table trattoria. From the warm welcome by Irene to her friendly advise on the menu we were taken away. She and her little niece were celebrating their birthday while we were there and it made for a genuinely warm and friendly atmosphere. The children were very well behaved and anxious for... More

This was our second visit to Santa Margherita. We visited Da Pino twice on both trips and it is consistently excellent. The menu is broadly along the same lines as most of the local restaurants- fresh fish and pasta- but the cooking is definitely above average. We have tried pretty well everything on the menu. The homemade seafood ravioli with... More

Great all around. Wife had the scaloppini. Heard the chef beating this meat for five minutes. If was very thin and really tender (hard to do with veal). I had the pesce of the day. Local white fish. Simple (grilled with lemon butter). Very tasty (few bones but what do you expect). Pasta bolognese was tremendous. Trofie pesto was great(very... More

If you are a fish lover, go and try and if you are not a fish lover, try it and you will be one... A very unpretentious kind of mom's and pap's restaurant where you don't find lots of tourists but locals

Only 1 table left when we arrived and full of Italians so seemed a good sign Very nice staff - appears to be a family concern- but a little disorganised. Pleasant home cooked food but not outstanding None of the courses arrived at the same time - we were always waiting for at least 1 person's dish to arrive -... More

We were recommended this little place by a local artist we met. It was buzzing with local people all ages and you could see everyone was well known to the Lady of the House. We had a top quality meal and would highly recommend this to young and old. It's good value mid range price.
