Good food, quaint restaurant

September 2014: My husband and I had dinner at this lovely, little restaurant in mid-September. There are about ten tables on a quiet street behind Via Marconi (the main street following along the coast line of town). We found this restaurant from just walking around. I thought it was so cute, we... read more

The place newly renovated, super clean and the food is perfect! We ordered clams, mixed seafood, vongole and cray fish and prawn pasta... It's superb! My wife and I love this place we went there twice in our 2 days visit. I will definitely come back again, and highly recommended.

Friendly, busy trattoria with beautifully cooked fresh fish dishes and delicious anchovies with ginger and lemon which I had to start.

Having visited Trattoria da Pino 3 times in 4 days I am amazed that it comes in listed at # 57. This is an amazing restaurant. When we visited we were greeted and served by the proprietor. How often has that happened to you? FOOD IS AMAZING! Fish dishes are fresh from the dock! I highly recommend having a late... More

We had read about this trattoria so decided to give it a try and were lucky enough to get in without a booking. This family run place is small and the decor pleasant but simple. The hostess's brother and mother were both dining there when we arrived and later the brother helped with the serving. The menu is simple but... More

This simple, traditional and cosy restaurant is located in a back street of the main shopping road down at the seaside in Santa Margherita. This is nice, as it's not that crowded even though obviously a lot of Italians and some tourists regularly go there. The kitchen is typically Italian. All fish and seafood is fresh and tasty. I had... More

We found this place tucked in into some secondary quiet street upon asking someone local who pointed out 3 different restaurants on a Santa Margherita Ligure map. We took our chances and picked this one up not really knowing what to expect, based on the "homemade pastas and traditional Genoese cooking" caption. And we scored. We were the first patrons... This superb restaurant is obviously a favourite with local people, and it's easy to see why. The menu is not massive, but very Italian, and food is well cooked. It's overseen by the owner, who speaks very good English. Not cheap, but you have to pay for quality, and that's what you get here. It is not in a conspicuous... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this cozy 10 table trattoria. From the warm welcome by Irene to her friendly advise on the menu we were taken away. She and her little niece were celebrating their birthday while we were there and it made for a genuinely warm and friendly atmosphere. The children were very well behaved and anxious for... More

This was our second visit to Santa Margherita. We visited Da Pino twice on both trips and it is consistently excellent. The menu is broadly along the same lines as most of the local restaurants- fresh fish and pasta- but the cooking is definitely above average. We have tried pretty well everything on the menu. The homemade seafood ravioli with... More
