Recommended by our Italian host, we discovered a place with good Italian food (especially pastas and pizzas) for a good price in one of the side streets. Here you can also feel a bit more than touristic atmosphere. If you order wine and you are a bit bigger group of people, you get amazingly good snacks too. We enjoyed it... More

While staying in Rapallo for a night we asked the lady at the front counter of the hotel where to go for dinner. She suggested a few restaurants but if we wanted fresh pasta and pesto then got to Trattoria Genovese an small family run restaurant about 3 streets away. The place was very busy and the we initially had... More

While staying in Rapallo for a week we tried many restaurants in the area,... my family and I (6 adults) all agreed that this was our favorite. We visited Trattoria Genovese twice. We asked a staff member at our hotel to recommend somewhere that served traditional dishes, and he recommended Trattoria Genovese. The service was excellent and the pasta, meat... More

I found this place usign tripadvisor and I can just confirm all previous comment. Place is good, quality is very good, prices are average. No parking nearby. Remember that Genova tradition is not only fish but also meat.

Excellent food and superb service at a reasonable price - we came back a few times! They also have menues in different languages and speak english and french. The location is not great though and its difficult to find a parking space.

The reviews on tripadviser lived up to our expectation. We had beautiful fresh pasta, with a variety of sauces which all proved to be excellent! We were very happy with our meals and we enjoyed it that much we went back for a second time. Definatly recommended.

Excellent service and a good choice of meals. would definitely recommend this trattoria as a 'change' from the busier seafront restaurants. If your Italian is as bad as mine you should take a dictionary with you, as less English was spoken here, but the aim to please was greater!

The set 3 course lunch is amazing value although the waitress seemed not very keen for me to see the menu of the day !!! I had to specifically request this twice, the first time she pointed out the expensive choices within the full menu. I asked again and she reluctantly gave me the one page menu of the day... More

The day after Boxing Day was so quiet in Rapallo, we couldn't use the usual criteria for finding a good restaurant (is it full and buzzing?) - so we logged onto Rapallo's free WiFi service and found this on Trip Adviser. We chose a set menu - I ordered Genovese tart then cannelloni (was finished -so I was offered lasagne... More

I've eaten at Trattoria Genovese on three different trips to Rapallo and eating there is one of my top reasons for return trips to Rapallo. I particularly love the oven roasted whole fish with pine nuts, roasted potatoes, and olives - (they gave me their recipe, and I was not able to get it to turn out anywhere near as... More
