We had dinner in this restaurant. Service was overall friendly but haphazard. Food was as expected in a tourist restaurant. View on the harbor is nice - but unfortunately the sun sets on the other side of the harbor (in May) so Stella gets darker and colder quicker than restaurants on the other side such as Gemelli.

Only one of two restaurants recommended by our hotel staff--I Gemelli was the other. They steered us right. Fabulous location on Portofino's postcard perfect harbor. We went without reservations on a Saturday night--big mistake--but one of the waiters told us to come back in 20 minutes and he'd have a table for us--amongst all the reserved tables. He delivered. Service... More

We came here on a May Monday evening when it was quiet - and I have say we found this restaurant excellent. Yes, the price was high but so was the quality and - hey folks - it occupies a prime spot in one of the icon tourist spots in Italy. We went for a pesto lasagna starter (absolutely super)... More

If you are in Portofino and want to eat by the seaside, this is place is a good alternative. Classic Italian dishes, good tastes, but the wine is very expensive.

Good service, pasta was good but nothing special. We would go again as it was one of the more reasonably priced restaurants in the area.

This is one of the first restaurants as you get off the ferry and looks inviting. It has a good view, as do nearly all Portofino restaurants. Prices looked good too. We ordered lasagne pesto (11Euros), another pasta pesto with shrimp (16Euros), and a caprese salad (10Euros), water, and three Aperol spritzes. Total bill: 97Euros. Cover charge per person and... We had a lovely dinner here tonight, sadly it was spoiled by the excessive "Coperto" which is a cover charge. For 3 of us it was €15 (last night we paid €4.50 for the 3 of us). Also a glass of lemonade was €6. I wouldn't go back again

Great food, great ambiance, great service. The only downside was the size of the portions, which were rated too little among many members of our group of 7. Then again, if you're going to do it the Italian way and order all courses, it would be an expensive but very satisfying experience.

Stopped for lunch at this beautiful location in Portofino and sat on the patio watching the boats come and go. The food was good, a bit more expensive than other restaurants, but I guess you have to pay more for the location.
