Lovely location

Stopped for lunch at this beautiful location in Portofino and sat on the patio watching the boats come and go. The food was good, a bit more expensive than other restaurants, but I guess you have to pay more for the location.

The rain came down and it was a roll of the dice, Ristorante Stella or some of the neighbouring ones. We went with the busiest of the bunch which was Stella and it paid off. With a table at the front we had unspoilt views of harbour and the surrounding towns such as Santa Margherita. Service was good, with the... More

Briefly, it's not quite an authentic Italian cuisine restaurant, mainly a restaurant that relies on tourists. Lasagna was awful and price was extremely high for such value.

My wife, our two kids and I set there for dinner after reviewing the menu outside. We had 4 pasta plates and were shocked to receive a check with 145€!. By far the most expensive dinner we had around here. Turns out the drinks are priced like diamonds....we felt so cheated. Food and service were reasonable.

Saturday night in Portofino requires a reservation if you don't want to be disappointed or you don't want to trawl the streets to se where there is a free table. We were very lucky to get a table on a Saturday night after a 30-40 minute wait. Mussels and fish in citrus juice for starters and a seafood ravioli which... More

Fearsome looking billionaire battleships are moored alongside this high end establishment, with prices to match. The service is swift and professional. Stella has to be one of the finest fish restaurants. located in one the most amazing places on earth.

We were driving home and wanted to visit Portofino for lunch. Examined various restaurants all set around the harbour, but as it was getting late settled on this one. Ordered mussels x 2 and 2 glasses of wine, plus 1/2 bottle of water. 2 simple desserts. Mussels were good, although not a large portion, as was the wine.Expensive at 78... More

We randomly chose this bistro while walking the harbor in Portofino & were glad we did! The service was very good, the prices were reasonably, as was their wine list. We ate there 2 times, since the pasta special the first night ( a seafood stuffed ravioli with lobster sauce) was so amazing, I ordered the pasta special again another... More

We did not have a lunch reservation and just decided the find whatever we could when we arrived in Portofino. Our first reaction to this spot was that we were walking into a tourist trap, because the location is so obviously perfect. We were shocked to find that the service was prompt but respectful, the food was very good and... More

Had a quick lunch of fried calamari, a glass of wine and 750ml bottle of water. 40€. That includes the 5€ cover charge. That seems a little high to me. It wasn't the best meal I've had in my life but probably the most expensive on a per gram basis.

Dear customer. I highly suggest you to get more information before visit Portofino. We are not a tourist trap. And 40€ is not expensive, and if you want to spend less you should try some other place in Italy. Everything you pay is showed on the Menu. i pay tax when I eat in the USA. In italy you pay... More
