Best meal we had in Liguria

We went to La Posta as it was close to our hotel and on Trip Advisor recommendation. It was an excellent meal in every respect and the service was impeccable. Read about the restaurant on Tripadvisor and decided to go as it had good reviews and was close by. We arrived at 7:30 and we were the first customers that evening. The staff was welcoming and the restaurant was classy with a high level of service. The food was beautifully presented, the taste was perhaps a little too subtile for... More

As soon as we entered we were sincerely greeted and big smiles. They were friendly and enjoyed our patronage right up until they said good night- what an incredible experience!! We were they in Sept-2011 (the web site does offer this date) and the 4 of us talk about this wonderful experience often and with fond memories. We are English... More

This was a very pleasant restaurant in a quiet place near to where I was staying at Via Manzoni. The lobster risotto was beautifully done and delicious. The steak with mushrooms and sea bream was very well done as well. The lady serving us was quite humourous, and she didn't bite us despite hailing from the land of the Dracula... More

Nice, modern restaurant with a calm atmosphere in a peaceful street in Spezia. Any truffle lover out there, this is the place for you because when I ordered a tagliatelle with white truffle, the restaurant's owner came and sliced a huge pile of white truffle on the pasta - about 1/3 of a piece. After the tagliatelle main course, a... More

By all means: top notch cuisine, reminds Lyonnaise cuisine at its best. Try the seafood dish appetizer and the beef steak. Along with the professional service- it is one of the best we ate in Italy.

We stumbled into La Posta by accident while looking for a different restaurant. We had wanted something for a romantic dinner for two, and the original restaurant we sought looked completely wrong when we arrived, so we kept walking. La Posta is a couple of blocks away from the commercial district, and a bit hidden. We only found it by... More

The quaint restaurant is beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had perfectly cooked sea bass the was caught from the Mediterranean that morning. The dessert menu was amazing. I will definitely go back.

We wanted to go to La Posta for lunch but since we got there too late and it was already closed we ended up having dinner. I had fish, my daughter had Pasta and my husband had the best steak I have ever had. There was nothing special to it, just very good quality meet. The place is nice designed... More

beautiful location, modern art, friendly host and excellent food, indeed. We started with the best prosciuto I ever had (may be apart from Spanish Bellota), and a tasty variation of porcini mushrooms. Main course was a turbot on potatoes with fennel mousse. Not to forget the long wine list! Strongly recommend.
