As long-term expats we're well past jaded with small, romantic Italian restaurants (generally avoid them like the plague, actually), but we had generally good and interesting food here. Granted, the lobster gnocchi was characterized by a liberal display of entirely decorative bits of lobster shell, but the whole meal was fresh, well-made, and worth a visit. The waiter spoke english... More

We lucked out and got the only table not reserved! While eating, 4 couples were turned away very disappointed because there were no more tables. This little 10 table restaurant is a dinning experience open, on the night we went, from only 7-10 pm. No table turn over. We dined for 3 hours without being rushed. The waiter was a... More

We were walking around looking for a place to have dinner, until I decided to look for help at the Trip Advisor app... Problem solved... we chose this delightful restaurant where we enjoy a delightful dinner, great dinner, and great price. We highly recommend it.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience, which we found thanks to the reviews on Trip Advisor rating the restaurant number 1 in La Spezia. We fortunately arrived to be seated at the last available table for two. We found a delightful host who was running the front of house on his own whilst one chef worked the kitchen. Normally this would concern you... More

After doing all of our homework in the hotel room, we left the map behind and had no Internet so it was just kismet that we ended up finding Bayon which had been our destination. I don't know how, but we lucked out getting the last seat without a reservation and as we ate we saw couple after couple turned... More

We found the restaurant on TA, hidden in one of the many side streets in La Spezia. The waiter gave us excellent service and spoke good english (which should not to be taken for granted in Italia ;). The food, oh what a deligth, i had pasta (you can tell it was fresh) with spicy prawns and for secondi fish... More

I stopped in here on a Thursday night, and was greeted by lovely staff.. The food and wine was amazing (sword fish and homemade pasta), very well priced and a nice atmosphere. Will be recommending to friends for sure

This was the first restaurant recommended to us by our hotel staff who did well to get us a reservation at this very classy restaurant run by Bayon who also doubles up as main waiter to keep a close check on what is on offer. The food was outstanding. We followed out pasta starters with some lovely fresh fish. Bayon... More

Bayon is the waiter/owner and does a professional job. Very difficult to get reservations. He didn't answer the hotel's frequent calls he said because the small interior was fully booked (altho there was an empty table inside while we were there. We got one of 4 outside tables (that were all filled within 15 min of opening time). However the... More

I love the seafood here. The dish I like the most is the sea bass cappacio and raw lake trout. The dish was delicious. The service is excellent as well. When we were there, the restaurant only opens 4 days a week (Wednesday to Saturday). We managed to eat there 2 times on this trip.
