We did not expect such excellent level of Italian cuisine in La Spezia. We just arrive La Spezia from Rome, and this is the best meal we had since we arrive Italy. The appetisers were all delicious, each of us tried a different pasta, my brother ordered the pasta with onion and truffle (excellent... read more

It was one of the best meals we had in Italy, worthy of Michelin 3 star. It was unpretentiously nice meal. The service was excellent. I had one of the best steak tartars ever. The egg yolk was perfectly cooked on the outside, yet still runny on the inside. The beef was most tender and the complements were exceptionally, especially... More

This was our best restaurant experience over a two week trip in Italy and we had many great meals. Inventive Italian cooking using local ingredients in a neighbourhood setting. We like to seek out "best food' restaurants when we travel and loved this restaurant. Agree with all the positive reviews, this restaurant is an excellent choice if you are a... More

We booked a cooking class through Viator for this restaurant - it was the best experience we had while staying at Cinque de Terre. Silvia and her Chef (sorry cannot remember his name) made this a fantastic experience. We were met at La Spezia train station and walked the 2 minutes to the restaurant. We then went to the market... Were searching for a place to eat in the neighbourhood and decided to visit this Osteria. Tried risotto with anchovies and pasta with mussels - both were splendid. Thanks to the owners for the warm welcome! Do vstrechi!

We happened in this fantastic restraunt on a visit to Le Cinque Terre. The starter of tomoto with garlic ice cream was sensationel as was the moreno fish, which is local to the area. The desert with liquorice sauce was a magnificent combination of flavours. This is a Chef who knows food and is not afraid to try new ideas.

We had the chef's menu...sampling five entrees. Dessert was a plate of 9 desserts per couple. This was one of our favorite dining experiences we have had in years. Chef and husband were phenomenal. The local wine, Cheo, paired well. Facility and ambience was perfect. Food served table side with white gloves. Patrons comprised of locals, at one moment not... More

I am writing this in the restaurant section of TA because we did actually get to eat a meal at this restaurant. My family and I signed up for a private cooking lesson with Chef Sylvia and what a treat it was. Her sous chef, Francisco started us out in the market shopping for the fish we were about to... More

True that one should not order "Escargots" in an Italian restaurant in a town of the Riviera, but then why have them in the menu if they come out from the kitchen over cooked and without a proper gratin? Even the main dishes we tried some were good some just average. Service is slow but this is not bad if... More

You can tell when food is prepared when you order it... and this is the place. When you walk in, you'll notice a lovely decor, using the original brick and arches... with a sort-of open kitchen... the dining area is smallish and very contemporary. Our hotel recommended... and good thing. I don't know why, but La Spezia seemed a little... More
