My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant based on a recommendation from the owner of our apartment. She said it is typical Italian place and the oldest restaurant in la spezia, therefore the place to go. It didn't dissapoint the atmosphere and service was brilliant the restaurant definitely has charm. There is no set menu so maybe a bit tricky... More

We visited for the first time and ordered a Giro pizza for 7! Each person chooses a pizza and then it is shared amongst the other 6 in the group. The pizzas came in one by one which was ideal because we never had to wait, apart for the arrival of the first one. The quality was first class as... More

Great food, good service and friendly staff. Can't go wrong. I would recommend the seafood if you go here. We stayed at a hotel up the road and spotted the restaurant owner buying fresh fish in bulk from the fish mongers at the markets the next day. There's no mucking around with this restaurant! Highly recommended.

This is where the Italians go, and I can see why. This is a restaurant for those who like food adventures because the menu changes daily. In fact, there is no menu. The seafood was fresh and amazing. The restaurant is loud and bustling with locals, which is how you know you've found a great spot. Highly recommend for the... More

Twice we eat there, the menu is not set but is what is on the day. Very good choice on the menses and the food is good as with the staff. You may have to make a reservation if it is in the busy season. Access is down the stairs from the street into the cellar restaurant which has a... More

The prices are reasonable according to the place and food. The place is in the down town so it is quite handy if you are nearby.

We loved the place for being one of a kind, totally unconventional, there's no menu so every day the food will be different.Try to make reservations, cause it's very popular with the locals,a proof that they make good local food. It's a little hard to find cause it's underground(an old cellar) and a little loud, but that's what Italy is all about, happy and very... As many of the reviewers mention here this is a real local food. It was fully booked on Saturday and we came back again on Monday and it was definitely worth it. The place doesn't have a menu which is a good sign and the number of options is not so big which is also a sign of good restaurant.... More

Im from La Spezia, yet living in China (Shanghai). When I return home, two times per year approx, and I want to taste some food and some feeling of my hometown, this is the place I go. Dont expect a 5 star service, dont even expect a menu...but you will feel Italy, the real one. Go there for a try.... More
