Top class place

Fantastic lunch in a delightful fishing village- a must see when visiting Genoa if you have a free half day. Lovely, friendly service and seafood was amazing. Cappon Magra was divine. Good choice of wine and altogether not too expensive.

This was a personal highlight of a 3 day trip to Genoa. Was recommended Bocadasse as a place to visit out of town and the lunch we had here was perfect. Lovely sunny courtyard and helpful waitress who translated the menu and made a great recommendation for wine. Tried the 'Cappon Magra' which was divine. I am not naturally a... More

I got recommended this place by a colleague from Genova. Very pleased to have eaten lunch in Trattoria Osvaldo. We had a fried appetizer which we divided in 2. We had mandelli and trofie ( 2 traditional types of pasta in Liguria) al pesto ( basil sauce). We had canestrelli ( biscuits) with zibibbo ( a liqueur from Sicily). The... More

I agree 5/5.The food was amazing . Anouska co-owner was a great host. We had booked for 7.30pm so it was a bit quiet she advised us to get a drink at the bar round the corner on the beach. Great local atmosphere. We returned an hour later to find the outside full with our table reserved in the middle.... More

This restaurant and his surrounding was the highlight of our stay in Genoa. The service was nice, very warm and friendly waitress. The food was amazing. We were the only foreign peoples and felt like in a middle of a movie. Young couples, family, friends, different kind of people seems to be regular customers. The Boccadasse area where this restaurant... More

When you come to this nice, old-fashioned restaurant overflowing in a little pitoresque square you need to know that you are going to have fresh food (tasty prawns and fresh fish ravioli) in smallish portions, disorganised service and a high bill (40 euros per head with a glass of wine).

Osvaldo is reputed to be the best fish and seafood restaurant in Genoa. It is located in the old fishing village of Boccadasse on the eastern edge of Genoa. We ate there and loved the food, the atmosphere and the service. We made our reservation (which is recommended) via email several weeks before our visit. However, when we got there... More

We were wandering around hungry and looking for somewhere to eat, trip advisor said this was a good place, they were fully booked with locals on a Saturday night, but theymade room for us, well it was sublime, fish soup to die for, even left the mussels out of it for me, as I don't like them, the little complimenary... 5 stars. For everything. Wonderfully prepared and presented food, smiling, friendly and attentive service. Rainy day and no room inside, so they set up the veranda for us. Do taste 'zuppa di cozze e vongole' but remember that it is a big big dish for a starter. Do not miss 'gnocchi con cozze vongole e gamberetti' among the first dishes.... More
