This restaurant and his surrounding was the highlight of our stay in Genoa. The service was nice, very warm and friendly waitress. The food was amazing. We were the only foreign peoples and felt like in a middle of a movie. Young couples, family, friends, different kind of people seems to be regular customers. The Boccadasse area where this restaurant... More

When you come to this nice, old-fashioned restaurant overflowing in a little pitoresque square you need to know that you are going to have fresh food (tasty prawns and fresh fish ravioli) in smallish portions, disorganised service and a high bill (40 euros per head with a glass of wine).

Osvaldo is reputed to be the best fish and seafood restaurant in Genoa. It is located in the old fishing village of Boccadasse on the eastern edge of Genoa. We ate there and loved the food, the atmosphere and the service. We made our reservation (which is recommended) via email several weeks before our visit. However, when we got there... More

We were wandering around hungry and looking for somewhere to eat, trip advisor said this was a good place, they were fully booked with locals on a Saturday night, but theymade room for us, well it was sublime, fish soup to die for, even left the mussels out of it for me, as I don't like them, the little complimenary... 5 stars. For everything. Wonderfully prepared and presented food, smiling, friendly and attentive service. Rainy day and no room inside, so they set up the veranda for us. Do taste 'zuppa di cozze e vongole' but remember that it is a big big dish for a starter. Do not miss 'gnocchi con cozze vongole e gamberetti' among the first dishes.... More

I took my wife to Trattoria Osvaldo after enjoying a dinner there in May on a business trip. It was a wonderfull repeat experience. The seafood was excellent and the service as professional as I experienced before. Mrs. Verusca deserves an Oscar for her restaurant!

We had octopus first and then pasta al pesto and panzotti al noci. Then we shared a dessert. Everything was delicious. Service was great, the waiter explained every dish and was truly kind. We had a bottle of prosseco and we paid 70 euros. Good price for a fantastic meal.

I was at Trattoria Osvaldo with my girlfriend about two weeks ago. We had a romantic evening in the internal tiny yard of the trattoria. Food was excellent, service friendly and professional at the same time. Furthermore Boccadasse is a lovely place to visit. I strongly reccomend to go to Trattoria Osvaldo!

We made the mistake of thinking this place would be a short walk from Genoa (drive or take a cab if you go) so were thrilled to arrive. Even though they had already closed for lunch they were generous and good-humored enough to serve us. Pesto was some of the best we had in Genoa. It's also a romantic, courtyard... More
