We ate dinner at the Cambi Cafe three days ago. The dining room is exquisitely elegant with frescoed walls and ceilings and very elegant diners. If it had been a film, I would want to view it again and again. We had a delicious Masi wine. The food was inconsistent. My fish was overcooked and insipid. I can understand why... More

What a fantastic restaurant, it's in part of an old Palazzo and its interior is completely covered in the most fantastic, and carefully restored, frescoes by Bernardo Strozzi (who made the famous ones in the Palazzo Rossi) So don't be put off by its rather pricey looking exterior - as inside you will find warm, friendly and very personal service.... I visited this restaurant on the advice of a local man. I visited with my family. The attention we received on arrival (we had not booked, so they worked hard to fit us in) was fantastic. Sat by a window and received a selection of plates of various delights and an exceptional local wine. My daughter had the pesto, famous... More

My wife and I have had great experiences at this place in 2013 and 2014. It looks expensive so I hesitated when my wife suggested to go in. As it turned out, we have taken every opportunity to go back during our visits in Genova. The decorations and furniture are extremely nice, antiques selected carefully with very good taste, It... A woman from Genova in front of the opera (where the choice on a Sunday is totally limited) gave me the tip for this one. You would hardly find it on your own. Try it. Lovely frescoes, lovely Food, lovely staff.

Business associates from Paris chanced upon this restaurant and recommended it highly. We were not disappointed. Sebastian, our matre, was fantastic. The owner gave us individual attention and even the barman gave us limoncello on the house. This is one of the more beautiful restaurants we saw, reminiscent of a 16th C church, yet intimate. They also have 2 outdoor... More

The title says it all. After a long walk of sightseeing or shopping in Genova this is a very nice place to relax with a good glass of wine or in our case a Spritz.

We almost missed this lovely cafe in the old city: if you don't look carefully it just looks like a couple of tables on a balcony. But inside- Mama mia! Part of a 13th century palazzo with frescos 4 centuries old - jaw-dropping. We only had coffee as we had only just had breakfast, but the food looked lovely, although... More
