superb meal

Staying in Genoa for only two days we wanted to try an authentic Italian restaurant. This was an excellent find. The food, the ambiance and the service were excellent. The prawn and calamari skewers were incredible, with the homemade tiramisu to top it off. Top tip - either get there early when... read more

We were advised by a young girl In our hotel to go to this restaurant whereby we we really pleased with the food and friendliness of the staff would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone travelling to Genoa. The food was local and specials on chalk boards and price of wine was very reasonable.

This continues to be one of the favourite restaurants in Genoa, excellent full flavoured food and usual efficient service.

We arrived whilst the owners and staff were still eating, but the door was open. They advised us that they didn't open for another 20 minutes. No problem, we went across the Piazza di Ferrari and located a little bar called Academia and enjoyed a glass of Prosecco whilst watching the Genoese go about their evening and let 20 minutes... Close to the Ferrari fountain, this is an excellent restaurant with many options for the lactose intollerant and principally vegetarian dinners. We would return here as often as we could.

A friend who is a yacht racer and visits Genova frequently recommended Trattoria Rosmarino to us as first time visitors. A relatively small restaurant and we were warmly welcomed. The menu is tailored to what's in season with a focus on fish. The evenings selections were written on a blackboard. A unique feature is that the menu is also available... More

We were guided to this restaurant by a very helpful local lady, who rang and booked a table for us. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch there, one of the best on our holiday. The staff were helpful and friendly, food was delicious, especially the Pasta Pesto and the Liguine Al Nero Di Calamari. Their Tiramisu was different to any we... More

Fantastic food . Best pesto sauce I have had. Ate with the locals from the offices nearby. What great service and food. Will recommend again and again.

Our last evening meal whilst on our trip in Genoa. A fantastic restaurant that should without a doubt be at least in the top 20. We didn't book although previous reviews suggested so, I think we were lucky however, it was a Monday night yet still very busy and popular. The staff are extremely friendly and happy to assist no... We have the manager of the Hotel Brignole to thank for discovering this gem, for without his recommendation we would not have sought it out or found it. It is situated in a small alleyway off the Piazza de Ferrari, but its unprepossessing location has obviously done nothing to affect the restaurant's popularity. We had a reservation at 7.30 and...
