Indarsena Oyster Bar is the only authentic "French style oyster bar" in Genoa, and one of the best in Italy. Gagge create a corner of Cote d'Azur on the dock of the Old Port. Importing directly from France every week 7-8 different kinds of oysters and various of shells, the restaurant offers real speciality for fans (also the famous Alaska King Crab !). But even those who don't appreciate coquillage, can taste steamed shellfish served cold with dips, or fish carpaccio, or soupe de poisson, or French cheeses and desserts provided by the best bakeries in Genoa.

This bar is close to Galata Museo del Mare and is a good place where resting enjoying a good french wine and oysters. The place is very clean and minimal, the hosts very nice. Oysters are really high-level! WOW. Prices are fair considering the high-quality.

A good idea and a passionate approach . Oysters are very fresh (daily arrivals from france ) and choice unusually wide. Near the galata museum , it is worth a try in summertime (the area is a desert in winter evenings). A bit overpriced , but I enjoyed a late romantic Xmas dinner in a 'different' atmosphere.

If you really like oysters and seafood and do not really care much about the location and the interiors of a restaurant (not that bad in any case!) don't miss Indarsena! Food is excellent: oysters of all kinds, king crab, sea urchins, shrimps etc. are super good. Staff is kind and professional. Quite expensive but totally worth it. There's no... More

Fall in love with this city, its character, sea, the atmosphere of the old port, beauty of its people -- you have to go to this restaurant! People there are proud of the work they do and are really happy to see you happy. Quality is superb, pricing adequate, service impeccable. It is located right next to Galata Museo del... More

Usually you don't go to Italy to taste french ousters, but Indarsena was an excellent choice. We have read about this ouster restaurant on trip advisor and booked a table, had to adjust the time - this was not a problem for the owner, he kept our table for about an hour. The prizes correspond the quality, the choice of... More
