We had the baby octopus and mixed fried fish... Absolutely terrible, one of the worst meals I've had, not only in Italy but anywhere in the world, do not go there for the fish !

We loved this little restaurant that was recommended to us while eating fantastic pizza in the Cinque Terres (Corniglia). We went twice during our 5 nights in Genova and it was great both times. Pintori had the excellent food and service that we had been looking and hoping for during our 3 weeks in Italy. It really helped restore our... More

Pintori is a good little Sardinian bistro. Good food - delicious pasta followed by pork cooked in strong Sardinian wine - all very authentic. Very nice waitress too. Very useful that someone had put on review to ring the doorbell as otherwise you would think it was closed. It is all a bit clinical - white walls and stone floor... More

We ate at three restaurants in Genoa. This was a very close second to the better experience. The waitress recommended an excellent, inexpensive, sardinian organic wine. We ate either 1 or 2 courses each (4 of us) and had a bill of €111 which was excellent value. There is a definite need to book, we went on a Tuesday night,... More

After first trying this restaurant three years ago, it has more or less became our favourite restaurant in Genova. Pintori is always full of guests. This makes an atmosphere, but also means that it is advisable to make a reservation. The food is traditional Sardinian and very good. The service is warm, friendly and professional. The location in the middle... More

Great wee restaurant. Lovely food cooked by Mama and nice choice of wines. Waitress spoke English and was very helpful. We went there twice on our weeks holiday.

This restaurant was superb. Quite small and intimate and full of Italian diners. The food, still cooked by Mama, was excellent, the Spaghetti Negri with calamari was to die for. An extensive wine selection with a wide range of prices. You have to ring the bell to get in and you will need to reserve a table in advance, as... More

I'm genovese (i was born in Genoa), and I love the genoa food, but, in the old town, very close to beautiful church of San Lorenzo, there's a very nice sardinian restaurant. Here the chef will delight your palate with sardine in Vernaccia white wine, starter with fish or "land" products (sardinian cheese and ham...), spaghetti alla bottarga (pasta with... More

This place has a very extensive wine list as well as great food. This is one if my all time favorite restaurants, I am in the business. Service is personal with a friendly flare. Highly recommended.

I was there with some colleagues last month (this was just the last visit after many other) and I had a really nice experience (as always in this restaurant). The menu could be ampler, but it features both fish and meat food, mainly from the Sardinian tradition, with gusts of Liguria. All dishes are really tasteful and well presented. The... More
