Going by the other reviews I'm assuming we just had a bad night here as I thought it was awful. Easily one of the worst meals I've had in all my years of travelling to Italy. Took the staff almost 20 minutes to even acknowledge us after we had been given a table and then another 20 minutes to bring... More

We stumbled across this restaurant by chance on a wet, windy February evening. Thank goodness we arrived early because soon after we were shown to a free table, the place quickly filled up with locals who had already made a reservation. The service is outstanding - even when rushed off their feet, the staff were smiling, helpful and attentive. The... More

We went to Genoa on a Sunday for a wander round the old town. Before going carefully researched the restaurant we would eat at - it was closed for a 2 week holiday. But also the vast majority of restaurants in the old town are closed on a Sunday. After looking for sometime we came across this place which looked... More

We went there on a day trip from Milano to see the aquarium. It's really close by and if you don't want to eat a sandwich or burger it's just the place. Prices are ok if you stay in the antipasti or primi, and the seafood is very good. I had some cozze a la marinara and some pasta with... More

This place has a local, family feel. The food is simple, fresh and tasty. On the house amuse bouche of mussels and pasta balls were a nice touch. Loved the gnocchi pesto and spaghetti vongole. Litlle limoncello to fish the meal off... Lovely!

Trattoria Vegia Zena was a good find for our family of 5. It was close to our hotel and we went early enough at 7:30pm that we were able to get a table although the restaurant filled up quickly afterwards. The food was quite good, particularly the seafood, and relatively inexpensive compared to restaurants we had recently visited in Tuscany.... More

The restaurant is very cute, in one of those small dark alleys your mom always told you to stay away from, but don't miss this one! For starters while I was deciding they brought out, baked mussles and what we in the south would considered a hush puppy! My starter was the house seafood platter and wow...fresh and amazing (and huge)!... More

Second time in Genova and again in this restaurant. The food is very delicious, staff really very friendly-even in a full hall they did their best and found table for us. These guys really wanted that we enjoyed the food, time and stay overall. Will definitely return back!

The food. Is really tasty - as the restaurant is right near the sea, all the fish is very fresh. As a compliment from the chef, each meal is preceeded by free appetizer of fried clams and a small fried garlick dough ball. Good selection of Genoese specialties. However, I found the portions a bit too pricey for the amount... More
