I always go to Vegia Zena on my yearly trips to Genoa. The food is consistently excellent (though I would recommend the fish over the meats--Italian cuisine is regional), and the service is courteous. I always order the Branzino (or Orata) alla Ligure, though pretty much anything else is just as delicious. Prices are reasonable though not cheap, but what... More

We were here on the 11th of September 2014 for lunch following our wedding . I had been in contact with the restaurant via email and made all the arrangements with the staff The chef suggested a menu and the food was excellent we had Trofie Genoese which was the best pasta we all had in Italy. We had baked... More

We found this restaurant using Trip Advisor. It opened for dinner at 7pm. All our meals - all seafood were great. We only had main dishes and dessert and all were well cooked and tasted delicious. The wait staff were friendly and helpful and very accommodating for our pram and three young children. Would recommend this restaurant if visiting Genoa... More

I read the reviews and decided to fit this place into our itinerary. It's in a good location, and they take reservations. They are closed on Mondays, but open from 9a-midnight. Honestly, I was unsure how I felt about the place, even after dinner time. ATMOSPHERE: The walls seemed like they had been artificially fabricated to look like a stucco... More

We were takin here by family in Genoa. What a wonderful find. The pesto was the best I have ever had and I order it a lot in Liguria on the five visits I have had here over the past few years. I also go the ligurian style fish which was the best fish dish I had on the trip... More

It's quite simple, if you love seafood....go there. Have the seafood "soup". Decide for yourself what you'd call it but don't worry that it won't be enough. The only thing stopping us from going there again is that our hotel recommended another restaurant and, if it's good as this one, we have to try it.

Fantastic local cuisine. I ordered a good selection of dishes and wasn't disappointed by any of them. This is also now the home of the best tiramisu I've ever eaten.

First thing, reservate a table - because it gets busy.. very busy. Second, order seafood - they have a especially good tuna tartare. Everyone of our group had different seafood courses and we all loved it. Although it was packed the service remained polite and friendly.

Although it is not easily reachable, looking for this place it is worthy for your stomach. The restaurant is a typical classic Trattoria Genoese, good menus, good prize and a great variety of italian pasta mainly combined with sea products (lobster, roe, etc...). It is really what I was looking for for lunch...
