Very good traditional (sea)food

Really enjoyed my diner at this traditional restaurant hidden in a small alley. Luckily we made a reservation as it was fully booked (Thursday evening). After a traditional starter of fried food I had a really nice ravioli after which there was only space left for a desert (Creme Catalana). Good... read more

Having great tasting fresh seafood so close to the sea is the best. Service was great, helpings were really large and the taste and freshness out of this world. I highly recommend this place. Book for dinner!

This place and Sa Pesta run neck and neck for the ultimate Genovese dishes. Each has a different take though. While Sa Pesta has Farinata, Vico Gallo has Panissa. I like both equally well. Farinata is cooked in a wood fired oven while Panissa is fried. Both have delicious Coniglio alla Liguria but they are totally different. Sa Pesta has... More

Best sea-food ever! For sure is the best genovese cuisine. Service was excelent and with lots of hints regarding the selection of plates.

We had a lovely range of food, and one of us said the best fish disk ever! Prices reasonable to high side (for our ZAR currency) but warm lovely service, fresh and local food. What more could one ask?

A pure gem "hidden" right in the back streets of Porto Antico. We had lunch and we wanted to try the traditional "alla genovese" cuisine. At the entrance you are striked by the fresh fish and seafood display that makes you wonder what are you going to eat... The menu is presented in an original way on a black board... More

I spent a week in Genova and ate in this place three times. Once was Pansoti (a type of pasta), a mixture of fish and shrimps, and fish with calamari. The three dishes were great, but I found the seafood better than the pasta I tried. I totally recommend the place, it is not meant for tourist but for local... More

When my sister comes and visits in Genoa, she always wants to dine their, so they must be doing something right. However, it's always crowded, service is mediocre at best and as far as typical genoese cuisine is concerned, it is my impression you can find better elsewhere.

The fish just needs to be fresh and to be accompanied by a few genuine ingredients. In this restaurant, in addition to seafood, you can find the traditional Ligurian cuisine at its best. You will need a reservation because the restaurant's reputation is well known.

The place is close to the harbour, but still needs a map to find it. But it is worth to do so. All the dinner was superb. I was quite suspicious how they can be able to manage a "full house", but they made it with acclamation. Pasta with pest genovese was on top. I can easily forget only the... More
