Make a reservation. They cater to locals, tourists are second rate customers to them. The food was fabulous. They have English menus, but do not expect a lot of it to be spoken. Good atmosphere... Service not so good.

We ate here two nights in a row, it was that good! it fills up quickly so go when they open, about 7:30 p.m. We ordered a meat entree as well as a pasta "first course" and shared our meals, along with a salad. Try the ricotta cake dessert, it's amazing. Good value for the money!

This restaurant opens at 7:3m for dinner, promptly -no early arrivals. Some we elsewhere and had a pre dinner drink, then came back. No reservation required. Gaia was recommended by locals and we were not dissapointed. The food was excellent as was the friendly service. It was reasonably priced and the local wine was good. This was the best meal we had in Genoa and we would definitley return again. Highly recommend!!

We often go to Gaia, it is one of our favourite restaurants in Genoa. The food is good and traditional from Liguria and is not overly expensive for the quality. The atmosphere is pleasant with the option of sitting outside in Via Cairoli during summer. We recommend Gaia.
