Good food, wine, service amd atmosphere

Genoa has some very good restaurants that are not tourist traps, this is one of them and it would be hard to do better at the price and quality offered. Hidden away, once found not forgotten. The service was good, even with a large group. Although I did get there earlier than booked to order in... read more

Please try the pumpkin gnocchi with truffle sauce! AMAZING! oVERALL The food is great, the wine of the house is really good, the ambiance is like a little italian restaurant and the service is not fancy but works the wonders, besides the food talks by itself, even if i was treated wrong I would have sucked it up for the... Today I had a great seafood lunch experience in this small restaurant in the heart of Genova. The menu is full of interesting dishes, both of seafood and meat. I choosed a great pasta: black ravioli of fish seafish sauce. It was excellent, very delicate in taste and good to see. As main course I choosed squids filled with spinach... More

rarely got disappointed following lonely planet's recommendation, but this one completely changed my perception. went looking for seafood in Genoa as advised. the restaurant was hidden in dark allay, very vague sign and hard to find. we booked for 730pm, arrived at 715pm since it was cold and rainy outside and the town was dead. thought we could have a... Walking down the street we were drawn in by the great smell of the kitchen. We had chestnut trofie with pesto, cod involtino, and a pleasant cheese plate. The big surprise was the incredible wine list of local and other Italian wines. Great choices, modest pricing. Our service was timely and professional,

Like many of the previous reviewers, I found my way to this restaurant thanks to a recommendation from the charming man at my hotel. The solo dinning experience can be a little odd but the staff were pleasant and helpful without being overly attentive and the food was of good quality. A pleasant night out.

Despite language barrier all 5 of us delighted by our choices, and the red wine by carafe was well above usual house wine standard. Also we were surrounded by Italians all enjoying their Saturday evening meal. Recommended by our hotel, would not have found it otherwise. At only 35 euros each we were very pleased indeed!

Nice local food, especially seafood. No wine list and no English though. Perfect place to practice your Italian.
