Everyone is raving abut this one, for a reason. Excellent Ligurian food, lots of nice local people, nice and friendly staff, very, very old walls, good wine, not too pricy. Reserve a table and enjoy, you will not be disappointed!

I spent the weekend in Genova and had my birthday dinner here in this wonderful place. Best steak I've ever had hands down! The wine was superb and the atmosphere was lovely. It had a simple decor but so warm and authentic. Don't miss out on this exquisite restaurant!

Yes, there were a lot of locals eating there. In my mind this means that the people who know like it. The waiters were friendly and helpful and the food was wonderful. I had one of the best steaks I have ever eaten - with gorgonzola sauce. My husband had the gnocchi which he said were as good as he... More

The restaurant was recommended by the hotel so we booked the table through the reception. Since it is quite small it is advised to make a reservation. We were the only ones that were foreign tourists. A good choice for trying a local Italian restaurant. The service was nice and helpful, we got meals for our kids that were very delicious.... More

The restaurant was recommended by the hotel so we booked the table through the reception. Since it is quite small it is advised to make a reservation. I have seen some comments at TripAdvisor about the staff who was mostly looking after the local instead of tourists but we do not share this opinion. The service was nice and helpful,... More

All the staff members are very nice and effective, the quality of food is really high with many possible chioces in the menu. Not many seats available, so be sure you have advanced reservation if you plan to go in busy days. Prices... More

Make a reservation. They cater to locals, tourists are second rate customers to them. The food was fabulous. They have English menus, but do not expect a lot of it to be spoken. Good atmosphere... Service not so good.

We ate here two nights in a row, it was that good! it fills up quickly so go when they open, about 7:30 p.m. We ordered a meat entree as well as a pasta "first course" and shared our meals, along with a salad. Try the ricotta cake dessert, it's amazing. Good value for the money!

We came to Gaia during our stay in Genova and was pleasantly surprised by the food! Menus are available in Italian, French and English. Typically Italian menu where you order your main dish then vegetables on the side. I thought we got a good value for our money paying 46€ for two main courses, beverages, coffees and desserts. Good portions,... More

This restaurant opens at 7:3m for dinner, promptly -no early arrivals. Some we elsewhere and had a pre dinner drink, then came back. No reservation required. We sat under the pergola, and had a reasonably nice meal. The manager comes to each table and explains the menu in English. They could,do,with a few more staff, other couples were leaving due to...
