Simple food but well done

Great place for lunch, even though most tables are outside it's in a cool corner. We all had seafood and all ( mixed fried seafood, swordfish and grilled octopus) were excellent. We saw the seafood risotto on another table and it looked fabulous too.

So many restaurant choices in Vernazza, and I was happy to find this in some alleyway. I wanted to avoid the crowds and wanted something more local, affordable, and authentic. As soon as we saw the risotto ordered by another table, we just had to have it. I was glad, since we were not disappointed at all. This was one... More

I ordered ravioli with nut sauce and got cheap supermarket pasta, with mixed nuts in cheap oil, no olive oil and fake parmezan cheese. The seafood antipasta was way to salty! The wine was ok, the water as well 😊

... but that is the only positive remark I can make about our lunch at Da Piva. The pasta was poor, served in something which was supposed to be olive oil, but wasn't. Worst lunch experience in Italy so far

It was a recommended ristorante in the Rick Steves book on the Cinque Terre. We were not disappointed. It's almost as if you are sitting in a alleyway but this just adds to the charm of the region. Everything was fresh and delicious. Wait staff spoke little English but we managed! Loved the experience there and Vernazza.

We had an enjoyable dinner at Piva sharing this dish (anchovies and potatoes in a red sauce) and a grilled fish dish with sauté spinach. Foot was great. Outside patio very pleasant.

This place was right next to our B&B, so on a windy and cold night, our best bet is to go to this little gem. It was introduced in Rick Steve's book about its Seafood Risotto so we ordered that. OMG, the risotto was serving in a big hot pot and was still sizzling when put on our table. The... More

We had a delicious dinner here in a very local Italian restaurant. Value is good and wine is comparatively cheap to other restaurants. The seafood spaghetti was awesome and so was the pesto spaghetti. 2013 Cinque Terre wine in the tall slim bottle is really good too. Tiramisu is one of the best I've had.

When we travel we have a strict rule about not eating on the main streets or near the attractions. We walk away from the crowds and explore the side streets. We have never had a bad experience turning left or right. Incadase da Piva proved our point again: turn right or left off the main road and you'll get good... More

This restaurant doesn't open until 7pm, no big surprise considering this is Italy. Lots of other restaurants in the area are open earlier. For one of our 5 nights in Vernazza we decided to wait and have dinner in this tucked-away spot. We were happy we did. We ordered the seafood risotto for two and it was the best meal... More
