Lucky enough to get one of the best tables high up on the terrace as we awaited lunch we enjoyed beautiful views of the rocky beach and ferry stop and it got better. At the suggestion of our waiter we ordered fish and pasta and white wine. My caprese salad was excellent and my entree of grilled seabream and roasted... More

We enjoyed dining in the midst of the breathtaking sea views. We made a reservation when we arrived in Vernazza for the next night. The restaurant was full and turned people away, so it really is essential to book in advance. We enjoyed the wine and the pastas. The pesto pasta was very good. Also, we had the cod mousse... More

We had heard raving reviews about Belforte and were very excited about our visit. We had a great table seaside on the terrace overlooking the water. It took about 10 minutes for a waiter to ask us if we wanted anything (why wouldn't we...we were at a restaurant), and another 10 minutes to get water and wine. We ordered our... More

After doing the hike from Monterosso to Vernazza, we were famished and looking for delicious, authentic pasta. We found it at Belforte where we shared the trofie al pesto and the spaghetti ragu. Both were outstanding and with a table on one of the terraces overlooking the water, we were in hog heaven. Unfortunately a bit of a tourist trap... More

We saw the magnificent dining terrace as we got off the ferry, and went immediately to check the menu. It looked fantastic. We asked to reserve a romantic table, and the waiter swept his arm across the whole dining area, indicating it was romantic everywhere. He was right! We sat outside the tower's submarine-vintage door, watching the sea and the... More

We ate twice at Belforte over 2 days. There's nothing to not love. Food's fresh and tasty, the staff is just amazing, the scenery breathtaking. We travelled a long way to clink our glasses for our wedding anniversary. I would do it again.

Beautiful location with great, friendly service. The food was excellent and the servings huge. Do try the local wines. This was a wonderful experience but you must book in the morning or a day in advance. Great views, really, great everything.

Hard to beat the view and fresh seafood, anywhere, but here are a few tips: 1. Always book - in advance 24 hrs - and for an early table (we had a 2pm booking and were seated at 3pm, then hurried because the 'kitchen was closing'); 2. Smoking seems tolerated at tables which is annoying, but then this is Italy;... More
