Great view!

We didn't have a reservation but we arrived right when it opened at 7 pm and were able to get seating. We weren't by the seaside so our view wasn't as great as others but it was still good nonetheless. We ordered the pesto pasta, seafood linguine, and another seafood mixed plate. It was great. We just left our late lunch here today. My husband and I ordered a 1/2 litre of wine (13 euro) I had a caprese salad and he had mussles and our bill was €52,00! Upon closer inspection, they charge a 4€ service charge per person just for the pleasure of dining there. I have had no issue with paying the... More

Arriving at 7:15 without a reservation is probably not the best idea, but this was a cold early April day. We asked for table inside, since our kids wouldn't do well once the sun set in the chilly outdoors. We were told, yes, they had one for us, and could we please wait while they set it. Being polite, we... More

Five years ago, my family stumbled upon this wonderful spot after hiking from Monerosso. We enjoyed a lovely late lunch on the outdoor terrace. Worth every penny for the view and the food. So, back in the CQ, with only my son, who is now in school in Italy and his friend, I wanted to re-create the experience. We opted... More

Make a reservation and ask for a table outside at sunset.....you won't be disappointed. The staff speaks English and are very helpful. It is the most beautiful view in Vernazza.

My wife and I are halfway through a month visit to Northern Italy. Our dinner last night was far our best dining experience of the trip. Remember, The Belforte is in the heart of a incredibly beautiful, but nevertheless tourist trap. The food is excellent, much better than has to be to be successful for the location. The views and... Amazing. Everything was simply amazing. We made a reservation (do so if you want to eat here!) and they only had an outdoor table left, which we took, despite rather chilly winds. But the cold was worth it. It was by far the best meal we had our entire trip in any of the towns. Get the caprese salad, you... More

I went there last night with a friend. The restaurant was crowded with the standing queue since 1730hrs. Lucky that my friend made reservation. We order mussels and warm salad. Mussels was ok but a bit salty and warm salad is ok except the prawn and octopus were not fresh. I can feel the texture were too soft. My main... More

A good foodie friend of mine suggested we eat at this place in this beautiful but touristy area. As some other well travelled visitors commented, you do not go to these towns for the gastronomy. In the case of this restaurant and their raw plates I must offer a different view. The raw lobster, scampi, branzino, merluzzo, red shrimp raw... More
