We came here for the desserts. We ordered a mixed fruit panna cotta, which was excellent, and a cannolo, which we had first tried here at Il Pirata back in 2006. We talked about how great that cannolo was for years. It was every bit as good this time. My wife ordered an iced espresso, and I had a berry... More

My boyfriend and I have visited Vernazza for the past two summers, and have spent most of our meal times here. This is up there as my favourite restaurant experience in our time spent in Europe (and believe me, there have been a lot) The food is simple but delicious - the lasagna has been a favourite for both summers... We went here purely from reviews on trip advisor. I'm glad we did. Initially we just stopped in for a Sicilian iced coffee/slushie drink and a snack, but we had such a great time and found the place so friendly that we actually came back for dinner that night. Massimo was friendly and made recommendations for us, which we followed... More

visited this place after checking tripadvisor. not really sure what the hype is about. a very small restaurant with few tables. pretty much only outdoor seating available. may be safer to make reservations in advance, especially during peak hours. best thing about this place was Massimo, one of the twin brothers running the place. friendly and courteous, and he also... This place is outside of the town, a couple of hundred meters past the train station. We were here at noon on a Saturday (which is very early for lunch in Italy) and were greeted very warmly. The owner even brought my daughters a free sample of sicilian slushes. Lunch prices were between 8-10 euro and everything was good. Nothing... More

We enjoyed breakfast here as well as one of their famous cannoli. Breakfast -- good freshly squeezed orange juice, good coffee, and great selection of typical Italian breakfast food. The cannoli disappointing. Although the filling was great--light and flavourful the shell was terrible--heavy and had no taste. Enjoyed the filling and threw away the shell. Personally, I would avoid any... More

Excellent food in a quiet location. They have decent portions. Desserts are good. The only thing they need to add to the menu are arancini, or rice balls.

We ate dinner here during our honeymoon in July and it was excellent. We had something picked out but our waiter (one of the brothers who owns the place) set us straight with the ravioli which was the best food we had in Italy. After dinner we ordered our desserts and he once again set us straight with a fruit... More

My husband and I had breakfast three out of four mornings during our stay in Vernazza. The food was delicious, particularly the bruschetta and ricotta pastries. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful and enhanced the experience. The owner remembered us after a day or so. We picked up sandwiches to take on a hike and they were... More

We only found this restaurant on our last day in Vernazza, but it was the best breakfast we had and I wished we had been able to try other meals there. It's in the back corner of this small town, but worth the 5 minute walk from the square and 30 seconds from the train station. The Sicilian baked goods... More
