I had breakfast and dined there for two days and I confirmed the culinary skills of Sicilian brothers . The foods are delicious and well prepared and they are also skilled pastry chefs - the delicacies prepared for the breakfast are irresistible. Do not miss the panna cota !!!!

Il Pirata was just a short walk from our accommodations. The pastries were divine! The fresh fig smoothie was by far the BEST, all natural smoothie I've ever tasted! The cappucino was offered in two sizes (to accommodate the American need for "bigger" coffee). The pastries are baked on site. The owner speaks English and the service was welcoming and... More

Awesome! Service and food. Although we only went for breakfast during the three days we spent in Vernazza, I have no doubt that everything else is as fresh and delicious.

Superb breakfast pastries freshly made from one brother while his twin recommends which one to eat. Very entertaining and very delicious! We ate the cannoli and the panna cotta for dinner. They are very proud of their cannoli but we thought that the panna cotta dessert was mind blowing!! Walk up the street from the train station, it's very much... More

Stayed over the road from this restaurant in late June. Run by identical twins who remember your name and country where you are from. Coffee great and they cook fresh pastries both sweet and savoury for breakfast every morning. We also had two lovely pasta dishes for lunch and dinner on separate days. Seems to be a well known place... More

Having read other reviews, we decided to check it out ourselves and yes, the pastries at Il Pirata are some of the best we had in Italy! They have a ricotta cream filled crissont to die for. Plus, great coffee. If you find yourself in Vernazza in the morning, you would be missing a real treat not to stop by... More

It's a little hidden out of the way at the top of the main street but good to get away from the tourist crowds. Staff were very comical and welcoming. The strawberry, and lemon granitas cooled us down, very tasty! If I had been staying in Vernazza, rather than there just for a quick visit, I'd have liked to have... More

This place is great for breakfast with wonderful pastries and coffee! The place was mere steps from the place I stayed in Vernazza which was also a plus. Will definitely go back when I return to Vernazza!

5 minutes from the touristy harbour this place (though a bit pricey compared to other places, 12 euro for a lasagna ) has very good food and a friendly owner. Absolutely worth the extra money. Five stars.
