Amazing pastries. Great service by friendly staff. Owners take great pride in their product. A must if you are in vernazza.
Food was pretty Good but the same price as in town and you could have a view of something other than a car park down there.the owner is loud and gregarious.no real problem for me but if you want a quiet lunch go elsewhere.what annoyed me was a cover charge of 2.50 pp, which really adds to the bill when... In our 10 days in Italy so far, this has been by far THE BEST meals/experience of the entire trip. We started with breakfast based on Tripadvisor reviews, then continued with dinner because Massimo and the amazing food won us over. Not only was the food impeccable (pesto lasagna for me, lots of seafood for my husband), but the service,... More
My daughter read about this restaurant on TA. Tucked on the hill above the train station, it's a small place. Superb--I truly mean superb--service! Twin brothers run the restaurant. Not sure which one was out host, but he was interested and entertaining. We started with the Trio of Three Fresh Seafoods. Plenty to share! Oops--forgot to mention the crusty bread,... More
Good food, interesting environment, nice wine and excellent deserts, but greatest fun is just talking to the twins (the owners).
This is a very good restaurant for pastas and shelfish. The owner is really friendly and the prices are great! I lived 7 months in the north of italy and this was the best panna cotta i have tasted!
We had breakfast and dinner here today. Both were wonderful. Massimo and his brother both know what customer service, presentation, and quality of food is all about! Our trio of fish (salmon, tuna, & swordfish) was amazing. Both smoked & marinaded. Could not say enough about the lasagne. The choc. almond cannoli was crunchy and delicious. If I had known... More
Went up the hill to the Pirate for brekky a couple of times - love the sign that says - don't ask for eggs, we don't do eggs, you're in Italy! Had yummy pastries & good coffee Never tried the other meals. Often went up to stand outside to get wifi - like lots of others
We just returned from our lovely meal at Il Pirata. We experienced such wonderful service and meals from the lovely staff at this restaurant. It is located only a short distance from the main shops, just past the station. We have been there now twice for breakfast and once for dinner and we were absolutely delighted by it! Everyone must... I had heard about this cafe from the Rick Steve's book and TripAdvisor and didn't want to miss out on trying their breakfast pastries. I'm glad we made the stop! Situated just slightly above the rest of the cafés and bars (about a 100 yard walk north of the train station on the main road across from the car park),... More
