Who needs eggs when you can get the best Bruchetta for breakfast or croissants so good you need no butter or jam. Then you find out they just made croissants stuffed with ham and cheese and you are glad you are hiking today. The brothers are great.. very friendly and helpful. For dinner not being a fish eater I had... More

This restaurant was definitely underrated. It was the best food we had in Vernazza. It doesn't have a view and is uphill from the train station but the food was amazing and the host were incredible offering us taste so specialty items. Make a reservation, we didn't have one, but we were lucky.

We didn't really know what to expect but stopped for breakfast before a long walk to Monterosso and it was the best thing we could have done on the Cinque Terre. The croissants were the freshest and tastiest I've had and the service was lovely. I would recommend Il Pirata to anyone and everyone in need of a pick me... More

The coffee, pastries and full breakfast were excellent and the twin brothers who own the restaurant are wonderfully friendly, helpful and entertaining.

Il Pirata is a delightful, tiny restaurant or cafe some 150 m UP from the station. The food was excellent home cooking. The ambiance is unique and also excellent as the twin Sicilian brothers truly entertain their customers. Their Panna cotta is world-famous.

We visited the brothers at Il Pirata twice during our three-day visit to Vernazza -- once for dinner with another couple and once for breakfast. Both were fabulous! The best bruschetta we've ever had and the most AMAZING cannoli ever! We loved the cannoli so much that my husband grabbed one for the train ride out of town. Equally as... More

Food here really is a cut above. It was nothing short of exceptional. Brothers that own the place are delightful, friendly and just want you to have a lovely experience, which we did. Could not recommend it more.

We ate breakfast at il Pirata. The pastries were exceptional, authentic and freshly made. The service was super friendly. Very fun, family friendly environment. Wish I had had time to eat her for lunch too!

One of the best restaurants in Vernazza and in all of the 5 villages. We dined here several times while visiting the Cinque Terre region. The restaurant is not very large, however they have great outside seating. They serve meals from early morning to late in the evening, if by chance you have already eaten, try one of their fantastic... More
