Great find in Cinque Terra

We wend there for dinner and had a wonderful culinary experience. While the dishes we chose sounded traditionally Italian , the way they were served had certain culinary finesse and the bread was made by local baker and it was the best I tasted in Italy in a restaurant setting. We stopped here before starting our hike to Monterosso. We had 2 pastries and 2 coffees. If you are looking for a true Italian breakfast, it's the way to go! The choice is wide and the staff is friendly. Don't expect an American breakfast with eggs and all because it's Italy so you have to eat Italian! We paid 8... More

It's small and out of the way, the owner(s) still wait tables, and the food is delightful. When ordering anything here, have one of the brothers make a suggestion for you. They will give you a witty, cheeky response but will most definitely steer you in the right direction. Expect to get teased a little bit, but that is just... More

Incredibly great service. Both brothers are very attentive, recommend great food and best of all make you feel welcomed. Their food is authentic and portions are very generous. Out of our tour in Italy, this has been the best food and service. Panna cotta is the best!!!!!! Do not go for the tourist trap near the ocean, go up the... More

Come for the food, stay for the wonderful company and warm atmosphere. You can't help but be charmed by Massimo and Luca the brothers who run il Pirata. We were in Vernazza for 3 nights and would have been happy to eat here for every meal. Lunch and dinner were amazing and the dessert and breakfast were the best of... More

This place is a must while in Vernazza. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious. The best canoli and hot chocolate of our lives. And the best eggplant parm I have ever had. Also had delicious bruschetta with pesto and lasagna bolognese (with super fresh pasta). This place is owned by 2 brothers, one who serves and the other... More

My husband and I stayed in Vernazza for one night while on our trip to Italy. Thankfully, we had heard about this place before our visit or we might have missed it. Make sure to make the quick walk AWAY from the water and eat at this place. Unfortunately we were only able to go here for breakfast- one of... More

Look, you can see in the vast, VAST majority of these reviews, the brothers who own and laboriously operate this fantastic venue will charm your shoes off, they'll serve the most authentic and delicious Tuscan and Sicilian delights you will ever find, they'll amuse the hell out of you (and themselves!) while doing it.... Many spots in this town can... More

We had the panna cotta and it was definitely one of the best I've ever had! The blood orange added a little something special. The panna cotta was less firm than other places and a little sweeter (more vanilla taste) but it was still very good. I also had the croissant for breakfast and it was just the right amount... More
