I had dinner here with a friend on my final night in Vernazza. It's true what they say about the brothers that run this place - they are quite zany! In a good way...! They're friendly and very welcoming. I saw one of the brothers as I was leaving town the next day and he recognised me and waved, which... More

We have been to Vernazza 4 times and always love stopping here for a real Italian breakfast. No eggs, just great sweets. The evening meals are also excellent. The pesto lasagna is very good, although they changed it a little from last time and I prefer the older recipe. . And the eggplant is as good as they claim. Well... More

My husband and I love going to Il Pirata - The food is good - hits the spot somehow, and looks good too - and the conversation with the owners is always fun.

Fantastic little gem just up the road from the rail station.... Real close and utterly fantastic. True Sicilian cannoli that was crispy outside with smooth and creamy inside. Also, the Pirate's mixed fruit panna cotta was fresh, light and delicious. Owner was very friendly, helpful, and award winning chef... A definite treat to share with your amore.

My husband and I went for breakfast twice, and both time the food was fantastic! The cappuccino was best I've ever had so far :)) This place is run by two twin brothers, they are funny and very friendly! They make you feel part of the family. Highly recommended when visiting Vernazza!

My husband and I stayed at Vernazza for 3 days 2 nights in March 2014. We chanced upon Pirata Cafe by accident while hiking and sightseeing. Massimo (hoped I spelled his name correctly) the owner of the cafe was super polite and friendly. Loved their seafood salad, strawberry desert and pasta. Cafe also has wifi. Have to book cafe during... More
