On our last night in Riomaggiore we ate at La Lanterna. The food was good, price was very reasonable and the service was great. We were not rushed at all like we had been at Enoteca Dau Cila. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

I can reconfirm the comments of the prior reviewers about the customer service here, it is truly bad at the beginning, although it improved later on (maybe in correlation with the disapproving looks coming from our table)... The food was quite good and enjoyable though, fresh seafood pasta and main dishes.

We arrived at the restaurant and we were told to wait while table was prepared. Very bossy waitress and poor customer service. Table ware was tussled around and waitress was rude and spoke constantly under her breathe. Very funny for us to see this behavior which would not be tolerated in Australia . Customer service was terrible and extremely rude.

We enjoyed dinner at La Lanterna during our first night in Cinque Terre. We were grateful to have had a reservation as the restaurant is quite small and packed full of people. The food was good but certainly not the best value. I would recommend dining here at lunchtime if it is available.

This restaurant with its little patio are located down by the water so it has a lovely view but even better the food was fantastic! We were not brave enough or confident enough in our Italian to order much off the menu but our neighbouring table looked like they were enjoying a huge platter of fresh seafood. We did share... More

We stayed in Riomaggiore for 5 nights and 3 of the nights we had dinner at La Lanterna! It was a 2 minute walk for our B&B, Alla Marina, which we also highly recommend! The mussel appetizer dish is delicious! We shared it 3 times. Reservations are recommended! Ask for a table on the patio, you will have a wonderful... More

To Tripadvisor: in our invoice the address was "via san giacomo 46" This is a small trattoria right at the harbor of Riomaggiore. There is another restaurant even with a better terrace (better view, larger space), but we chose this one due to some reviews we found in the net. The prices are similar to other Riomaggiore trattorias. Location is... More

This little city is a bit touristy but very picturesque. We grabbed a bite for lunch at this restaurant and sat on the patio over looking the beautiful Ligurian Sea. Order the pesto, the region is noted for it and you will not be disappointed!

Despite being situated on the harbour, this restaurant was reasonably priced and the food was good. The pasta dishes are particularly recommended.

Cinque Terre can feel rammed with tourist trade, less so Lanterna...great views, superlative Ligurian specials, no cover, relaxed service...
