When other places were closing post-lunch, La Lanterna remained open (they have a sign advertizing that), allowing us to have lunch later than norm. From our table, we had a very good view of the lagoon and the path towards it - we are into people-watching, so that was a positive. The service was more on an indifferent side, and... More

Everything was fantastic! Service magnificent, as was the food! My girlfriend is not much of a seafood lover and she adored the food here! It is so fresh and completely normally priced. I am getting a warm felling in my heart now when I write about this restaurant :-) And we came here solely by accident and at first only... More

Great meals and fine wines at very reasonable cost. The fish, pasta and pizza were all top notch. Location right off the Marina could not be beat.

came here for lunch during our visit to Riomaggiore. it overlooks the small alcove where you can see people swimming, sunbathing, and kayaking. the house white was quite nice to drink. clean, light and slightly on the dry side. the bruschettas were loaded with ample fresh tomatoes drizzled with olive oil and a generous amount of pesto. nice dish to... La Lanterna came highly recommended, but was our least favorite meal in CT in 5 days there. My partner ate linguine alla vongole or anything near it at every chance she got. This was the only restaurant in Italy we encountered sand in the clams. Really disappointing. View was awesome as we had a table reserved for us on the... More

On our last night in Riomaggiore we ate at La Lanterna. The food was good, price was very reasonable and the service was great. We were not rushed at all like we had been at Enoteca Dau Cila. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

I can reconfirm the comments of the prior reviewers about the customer service here, it is truly bad at the beginning, although it improved later on (maybe in correlation with the disapproving looks coming from our table)... The food was quite good and enjoyable though, fresh seafood pasta and main dishes.

We arrived at the restaurant and we were told to wait while table was prepared. Very bossy waitress and poor customer service. Table ware was tussled around and waitress was rude and spoke constantly under her breathe. Very funny for us to see this behavior which would not be tolerated in Australia . Customer service was terrible and extremely rude.

We enjoyed dinner at La Lanterna during our first night in Cinque Terre. We were grateful to have had a reservation as the restaurant is quite small and packed full of people. The food was good but certainly not the best value. I would recommend dining here at lunchtime if it is available.

This restaurant with its little patio are located down by the water so it has a lovely view but even better the food was fantastic! We were not brave enough or confident enough in our Italian to order much off the menu but our neighbouring table looked like they were enjoying a huge platter of fresh seafood. We did share... More
