Amazing seafood!

We went here for dinner twice in our short stay to Monterosso last week. We liked to eat in the small alley at the back where they have a few tables. It was nice and quiet there. The waiter was great, very helpful and spoke English fluently. I had the pesto spaghetti the first night and spaghetti... read more

Had a 1.5kilo T-bone steak that was delicious. Cost 44euros and was enough for 2people. The service was excellent

Usually I have been impressed with Rick Steve's suggestions for hotels, restaurants and sites. I think it must be difficult to rate a restaurant as there can be so much variation on the dishes. I did like Miky's - great flavour/lovely décor. Some dishes are better than others. This ristorante has patio seating as well as indoor. The patio was... More

we went because it had great reviews. My husband enjoyed his scampi, he just wished he had ordered a side to with it, like vegetables or pasta. i dont eat sea food and ordered pasta a la bolognesa. was ok. Service was suuuuper slow. enough for us to witness a young lady and her mother have an unpleasant experience. She... More

My partner and I visited Pozzo after being referred by a regular visitor. We were seated at a patio spot and provided menus. Our waitress was less than friendly or helpful and seemed annoyed to even take our order. We got caught up sorting through what meals to order, so we asked her to leave the wine menu to look... I came to Monterosso with two ladies who are well-traveled. I don't remember what we all had to eat, but it was our first night, and this place looked inviting on the main walkway through Monterosso. First of all, the food was not great, nor was it bad, just ok. The service was slow, and we later found out that... More

We have eaten at Al Pozzo for an afternoon lunch both times that we have visited Monterosso and haven't been disappointed. It's right in a row with other more touristy looking restaurant choices along Via Roma, but we found the caliber of service and the quality of food to be a cut above those and will surely eat there again... We kicked off our trip with dinner here, and I am so glad we did! We ordered their fresh seafood antipasta, pesto gnocchi, seafood stew, and a white wine from the hills of Monterosso. Everything was fantastic and reasonably priced. I would recommend sitting in the "back" of the restaurant outside for a quieter meal.

We were staying at Hotel Pasquale and preferred to dine in the old part of town with Al Pozzo being on the list. It's just great to dine outside, people watch and eat some very good food and drink a nice local red wine. The pasta vongole was out of this world good and the mixed seafood plate was fresh... More

While people watching, enjoyed the homemade pasta blackened with squid ink served with shrimp and squid. Also try both local white wines and anchovies soaked in olive oil and lemon juice. Takes. Look a very long time to pay.
