Terrific Dinner

The food and service at this little restaurant was fantastic. It is on the main street headed down to the water. They had a wide variety of pasta dishes and desserts, which were all perfect. I highly recommend stopping here while in Monterosso.

This restaurant did not disappoint our experience so far in tasting great Italian food. Because the tourist season had not started yet, it was 1 of 2 restaurants open in Monterosso so we were a bit skeptical since it wasn't on the list of restaurants we had researched for our trip. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the... More

After hiking to Monterossa, I had a terrific lunch and wine. Enjoyed the sun and beach then hiked on to Vernazza. Lunch included Trofie al pesto (local specialty), jumbo grilled shrimp, cinqueq terre vendemmia 2012 white wine

I ordered the pasta with mixed seafood. The tomato sauce was very interesting. Our waitress indicated it had been made with fresh tomatoes and black squid! Very tasty, but I think I am happy I didn't know ahead of time. My wife had clams and spaghetti. Food was well prepared and excellent flavors. A remarkable wine list, but we choose... More

They served the little screw shaped homemade spaghetti with their fresh pesto and house wine. The servings were generous, absolutely delicious, with a charming server who treated us like royalty!

First I must say that I am always at a disadvantage when eating by the sea in Italy, since I am very allergic to many fish. For safety, I avoid ALL fish in restaurants, so it was extremely difficult to eat in Monterosso: as someone else observed, all the restaurants seem to have almost identical menus and there is a... Ordered the seafood salad expecting greens, but got a plate full of the most delicious variety of seafood ever instead - had to go back the 2nd night for another plate. The seafood pasta was also amazing - would go back to stay in this town just to eat here again!

This place was suggested by my friend and we made a booking. They specialise in seafood which was both fresh and tasty. The anchovies were delicately cut and well prepared and I did not realise it was uncooked. The swordfish was good too. But what stole the show was the Porcini mushroom. They were out of the world. A must... More
