Great Seafood Restaurant

We happened upon this restaurant while wandering through Old Town Monterosso. The restaurant looked nice and the menu was appealing so we gave it a try, and we (4 of us) were very glad we did. We each had different meals, along with the house wine, and all was delicious. The waiter was friendly... read more

Good food...busy place but only 1 waiter doing everyihing from taking drinks...cleaning..and orders. It has very good food but lacks any sense that you are in a fine place for a long Italian dinner.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We had mushroom risotto and fish soup, both of which were delicious. The portions were also pretty big. Their "vino bianco della casa" was quite good, too. Overall an excellent choice, certainly the best of the ones we tried in Monterosso!

We found this place by wandering off the main streets but initially were not impressed by a rather surly young waitress. We were also seated next to what seemed to be a cupboard but it turned out to be the bathroom. Fortunately, a more experienced staff member noticed what was happening and moved us to another table, and the first... More

We had a wonderful evening here and a great meal here . the service was excellent . we were able to sit outside and enjoy dining. This is a quaint restaurant where it is nice and quiet. We enjoyed the evening here and would recommend others to enjoy this place.

I was concerned when we came across this restaurant as it appeared to be very touristy but the food was of excellent quality. Yes, they cater for all tastes, staff speak several languages, and are very helpful and polite, and therefore they cater to tourists. We had calamari entree, then steak stroganoff and spaghetti marinara. The steak was perfectly cooked... More

We chose this restaurant by walking through town and looking at menus. When we entered the restaurant, we were immediately seated in an area of our choice with one other table occupied. No problems at this point. We ordered water, wine, and food about 15 minutes later. The waitress asked if we wanted the pasta at the same time as... More

It was our last night in Monterosso. We had a huge and very good lunch in Manarola and were looking for a relatively light meal, finally tired of acciughe (and I love it and my wife has grown to love it too here) and seafood we dropped into Ristorante al Carugio which we had passed before but which has always... We were looking at one restaurant after another in Monterosso and they all looked so touristy. This was on a side "street" the menu looked good and we were very hungry. Everything was very tasty. We had fried calamari and anchovies. I had a Ligurian "ravioli" triangles called pansotti with walnut sauce. My wife had her second fish soup. Different... More
