pasta and seafood salad

We ordered the trofie pasta with green beans and pesto, which was very good, and the seafood salad, which was a huge amount of still-warm fish and shellfish. It came unseasoned, but there were olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the side and it was a relief that it wasn't drowning in olive oil... read more

Monterosso and beaten track, almost a synonym. But this little gem is just great. I had a fritto misto (I just asked for it as I could not find on the menu) and got a delicious plate of Scampi, Sepie and crispy fried whole-fish. Delicious!

Dined at this restaurant at the recommendation of our inn. Given the crowd, we expected great things however we were disappointed. The food was good however the service was terrible. I understand that European Service is not like American but waiting 40 min for a check after you asked twice is unacceptable. Other people were having the same issue. The... More

The worst service ever. Yes, we happened to arrive at the end of the busy lunch time. But ten minutes to have our drink orders taken, another ten to receive them. When the salad and anchovy courses arrived, with bread another ten minutes passed before the promised salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar were brought. I had to remind her... More

This was a wonderfully, fresh seafood/pasta restaurant! Several folks in our group shared the Seafood Risotto which comes out in a large communal pot for all to share! We ordered 3 portions to share among 6 people and it was enough for our entire group of 15 to sample!! Everything we had was great! Highly recommend if looking for a... More

Really good food. The Pesto noodles, and gnocchi were very good, along with the fish soup. Try the local sardines. We tried 3 types. We like the sardines in Lemon the best. Didn't like the stuffed ones, or the whole ones in wine sauce, you have to pick out all of the little bones! Otherwise, the food was really good.

We stumbled across this restaurant after being recommended to go somewhere else! It is situated in a cute 'alleyway' opposite a fantastic bakery. We had the fried anchovies and ravioli di peace in salsa di pomodoro e gamberetti - it was absolutely delicious and even asked if we could get the recipe for the sauce! The chef obviously said it... We were hooked when we read that "We are a restaurant. We do not serve pizza." They have Ligurian specialties. We had mixed fish grill for two--combo of shellfish, sea bass, sea bream, Trilla. Desserts lovely as well. Patrons waiting to get in. Opened at 7:30 pm. Nice server. Only down side is hard benches at the table. Highly recommended.

The food is pretty good but overshadowed by indifferent service. The hostess really cared little for seating us even though there was space except outside (only several tables). the waiter seemed impatient with our questions re the menu and offered little help. We were at a table of high traffic so the atmosphere was poor. If the owner demanded more... More

We loved this little restaurant tucked away on one of the back streets in the old town. I had fried anchovies and calamari to start, with the fish stew as my main. All was fresh and flavorful, and served with a smile. Check this place out if you're in town, you won't be disappointed.
