We came across this restaurant while wondering the streets in Monterosso. We were just in time to miss the rush as we sat down immediately but the restaurant became full within 20 mins of us getting seats. The staff was friendly but unfortunately it took extremely long for us to get our food (2 pasta dishes). We easily waited over... More

Local ligurian cuisine and great atmosphere in a little laneway. Wished I could have gone back to try more dishes.

We liked this place and would go there again. The food was good, the house wine tasted fine, the waiter was funny and quick.

We had a nice dinner here on our arrival day. The service was prompt and courteous. The seafood risotto was quite good, and different from the usual creamy/heavy risotto we are accustomed to. The next day, looking for a late lunch spot, we happened to be back in the same area and wanted a light lunch. We ordered the "seafood... More

A wonderful little restaurant tucked away on a narrow street. The outside tables were all full so we went inside but it was all reserved for a tour. Immediately someone came over to us and suggested we wait under the fan (it was a very hot day) and the next table that opened outside was ours. We had the stuffed... More

Waiting times were long, even with few customers in attendance. We mostly felt ignored by the waitress. Food was so-so...the ravioli tasted like the frozen/premade kind that you can get at supermarkets. I cannot comment on pure seafood dishes. Who knows, maybe they're really good. In any case, I will not be visiting this restaurant again.

It's hidden in a little alley, and only has a few tables outside. The ambiance inside is wonderful. The staff was very friendly, and bilingual. The food, wow, the food was fantastic. Very fresh and delightful. Reasonable prices (about 25 Euros per person for an excellent meal).

Friends that we were travelling with happened upon this little gem one afternoon and recommended we have dinner there.. It was the best meal during our stay in Monterosso! The homemade pesto pasta was the best we had during our month in Italy and the fish soup was amazing! All accompanied by a jug of the more than decent house... More

We discovered Ristorante Al Carugio several years ago and come back every year when we are in Cinque Terre. The restaurant is hidden away down an alley, but worth tracking down. We went with a party of 11 this year and thus were able to expand beyond our standard octopus salad and trofie pesto (which I always have). The food... More

I will not comment the food, because the service was to bad and everyone so antipatic, that is is simply a No GO.
