After a long day, we were looking for a place to sit and enjoy a drink in Manarola, which was proving harder than imagined. Most places would only serve lunch or were full of tourists. This place had lots of locals and great prices. They had a good wine selection, clean bathroom and very friendly servers - especially if you... More

We popped into Zio's after a gruelling overland walk on a very hot day from Riomaggiore to Manarola. We were in need of very ice cold beers, which Zio's Bramante's daughter kindly delivered together with some snacks. The bar has been open since 1952. Zio's daughter now runs it and has her children assisting her, as she did her father.

If you are looking for a nice terrace, where you will not be too aware of crowds, and able to enjoy a drink, great atmosphere, and some good food, then this is the perfect place. I am writing this review as I sit outside enjoying a lovely caipirinha and warm weather. Great prices. Nice service...highly recommended!

we didn't come here to eat, just had coffee in the afternoon, but we came back after dinner because the staff told us they have live music. in the evening around 10pm the place came alive. local musicians took turns playing blues on different instruments. great atmosphere - most are local but i didn't feel out of place. perfect to... I ordered a salad and a quart of wine. The food was okay, and the wine is good too. But when I pay the bill, I was told to pay twice the price for the wine. Totally scammed.

The Cantina is the perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner or late night drink or snack. It is cosy and atmospheric and the staff are friendly. We came here several times during our visit to Manarola, as we both really liked it.

One of the only places open in this part of the season but it was a great find. Just stopped to have some drinks while we waited for our train and had some wine. The prices were great and the man working gave us some free food with our drinks. Nice guy and great atmosphere

We walked from Vernazza, including the high trail from Corniglia, and so we were looking for a reward when we hit town. This was the perfect place for it. From the wonderful service of our sweet waitress to the amazing bruschetta, it was just what we were looking for.

This tiny Cantina is totally unpretentious but serves up a big surprise! In the daytime you can find the genuine bruschetta (the way his Grandmother made it) or local specialty - anchovies. At night (most nights) you can enjoy the locally-made limoncello (all drinks were very cheap) and the incredible music that comes from a range of extremely talented musicians.... More

Like other reviewers, we did not eat. We just had grappa and beer and listened to two awesome guitar players and a guy on harp jam to old sixties and seventies songs. I'm a guitar player and these guys (including the harp player) were great. Lots of fun as the whole house sung along. The beer was cold and the... More
