Excellent restaurant

We stopped for lunch at Aristide - the bar - after having gone through 4 of the small villages of Cinque Terre. Definitely in need of food and drinks. The food was fabulous - the pizza was excellent and my friend who is gluten free had one of the best meal ever. Everyone is so friendly. Would... read more

I agree with the reviews. Great little spot. The food was simple, fresh and fast. I had the Fritto Misto and it was great. Added salt and lemon and it went to amazing. Service was simple and straightforward with a smile. The bulk of the staff spoke some level of English. The prices were also great. Total meal for two... More

While in the Cinque Terre area the walking tracks between the five villages were closed due to storm damage so we had fun travelling from village to village on the local train. We arrived in Manarola early one morning from Riomaggiore where we were staying and found Aristide right opposite the tunnel from the station a good breakfast stop. It... More

Although I can't say I really had a bad meal in Cinque Terre, the food at Aristide is a cut above the rest. It was so good, in fact, that we ate there two nights in a row. I ordered the same main dish as the previous night (fish ravioli with shrimp), and reprised my husband's first course of potatoes... More

After hearing from several people that dining out in Cinque Terre was very limited, we found this wasn't true at all! We had breakfast several times at Aristide and enjoyed some great scrambled eggs and omelets, something that is hard to find. The service was very good and quick. We also ate at the main restaurant for dinner one night... More

We were in Manarola for 2 days and must have stopped here 4 or 5 times. On the first visit we just felt so comfortable why go anywhere else. The staff are really good and though we did not eat there the food is reasonably priced. We mainly stopped for our proseco top up. It is right opposite the entrance... More

We had dinner once in the main restaurant in the square...this was excellent! The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was fabulous! Each morning we had breakfast at their smaller establishment which was excellent as well. The coffee was strong and perfect, omelettes, pastries, muesli etc were all delicious!

We are three men in our community, assigned to Rome and we went to Cinqueterre on a week-end. Living in Corniglia, we visited Vernazza and Monterosso one day, and Riomaggiore and Manarola on another. We realized that the towns were more touristy than we thought. That is why Aristide came as a very pleasant surprise. We did not expect the... More

We visited Aristide for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. We were seated in the covered dining area in the square, with lovely views of the colourful houses on the hill. We had the stuffed anchovies and the scampi gnocchi. The anchovies were flavoursome, but slightly overdone in the deep-fryer. However, the scampi gnocchi was flawless. Perfectly cooked scampi, small fluffy... More
