Totally worth the hike!

My family and I must have walked up hundreds of steps to get here, but it was worth it. The staff accommodated us without a reservation. The fish prosciutto was amazing, as was the pasta. We ended with homemade lemon ice cream. Definitely one of the best restaurants we went to the Cinque Terre!

Average and overpriced food, rude servers discussing quests appearance, cursing in italian and smoking close to the seating area. View from Trattoria Dal Billy gets a lot of praise but there are at least two better places in Manarola with similar panorama. It's not dramatically bad, just nothing to go there for - apparently 90% of the customers are those... More

We were recommended this restaurant, which is perched up high on the Manarola town hill. The fish was FRESH and beautiful and we were able to select the fish we wanted, before it was cooked (we had the choice of grilled or oven baked). A lively restaurant with a lovely ending to the meal (all tables got the same surprise).... More

We loved this experience! The house wine was great. The food was incredibly fresh. While we didn't order fish, the waiters kept bringing fish by the tables to show of the catch of the day which would be cooked and brought back to be eaten. We had a first course of pesto pasta (one of the areas specialties and a... More

Excellent food! Great selection of fish starters - AMAZING lobster pasta, with home made tagliatelle, best food we had in the area.

Grilled whole fish caught that day. Grilled vegetables too. Ask for inside, windy outdoors but charming. Good service. Need reservation.

I am so confused by the other reviews I've read here because we had such a poor poor experience here. The waitress was dressed so sloppily (she looked like she had just rolled out of bed and her hair was flopping in our food), the wait staff was all so incredibly rude to us (as if they were so disgusted... We made a reservation at this restaurant and even that was "un esperienza." The woman on the phone shouted to someone else to make sure we could come (Italian just like out of a movie)...it was delightful. If you book early enough you might get to be seated outside (we did not). However, the inside was very nice. Everything was... More

Great food. The best basil pesto we had on our visit ( regional specialty you must have). The house white wine was good and went very well with the seafood menu. Food was fresh and delicious. It's a hike for those staying near the harbor, but it was just downstairs for us. My advice to anyone staying in Manarola is... More

It's as "off the beaten path" as you are going to find here... Because of that, I believe the owner is a bit more attentive to the quality of food than some of the other restaurants on the main strip... We ate here several nights, both inside and outside. The food was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. If food is... More
