At this moment for us Agli Amici is the best Restaurant we have visited so far in Italy.Everything started with the telephone Reservation-after such a kindness you are sure nothing can go wrong.Indeed, we were wright! We had a tasting menu with the wine pairing-there is no enough good words that I could express, but can say for sure-In Agli Amici... This was the best meal we had in Italy. As you leave Udine to get to the restaurant you do wonder where you are going but once you arrive and you are sat in the garden with a glass of procesco in your hand all is well with the world. The staff are very helpful in explaining the menu in... More

We had the 8 course tasting menu, experimental menu (80 euros), with wines (only 30 euros extra). versus the traditional tasting menu (75 euros) with wines (25 extra). You don't have to do the tasting menu, of course, and can get away for a lot less at this lovely restaurant, if that is an objective, but since i wasn't driving... More

This was without a doubt one of the best meals of my life. The whole experience was superb from the very first moment. Michela Scarello is the welcoming host, and her brother, Emanuele, is the chef. Together they have created an atmosphere that is elegant, but never stuffy; serious and a lot of fun; inventive without being silly; and serious... More

Had a fantastic lunch with friends. The meal was far better then the 3star I visited the following day. Very strongly recommend this excellent restaurant..both sister and brother give you great welcome and food is worthy of the 2 stars.

Located in the corner of a tiny square in the outskirts of Udine, you'll find this gourmet oasis. The interieur is puristic, but precious. The menu has its routs in the italien classic cuisine but is presented in a very creative style with sometimes unusual amazing combinations. The atmosphere is very distinguished with the italien touch of easiness and esprit.... More

This is a top restaurant, to start with. Yet, our first visit a few years ago was a disaster. The small "garden", a terrace in the town square, actually, was still open then, and a waitress from Jamaica (or the like) managed to squeeze onto the bill three additional items we never saw; I never check the bill in a... As noted by Pilar D, Sandy M needs a rebuttal. The kind lady from Australia might prefer better an Olive Garden or a Denny's for a hearty meal. Will try to find some coupons for these fine establishments, perhaps for the Early Bird Special. Cheers.

Having lived in New York, Spain and now in Italy, we're no strangers to good dining experiences. We had been meaning to go to Agli Amici for the past two years because it had been purported to be one of the best. I am happy to say that that this is the single best restaurant in the Northeast Italy, or... More
