Special lunch

I had lunch at this place that I only knew because I passed by very often. Really a pleasant surprise both from a culinary point of view (Tuscan especialities) that with regard to the courtesy of the staff and managers. We want to go back and recommend you to try this amazing restaurant.

Several years ago I tried out the restaurant Al Toscano, recommended to me by a friend (I am gluten intolerant, and she heard that the owners have personal knowledge of this problem). I can just say that it was the first time, but definitely not the last. I loved it and I keep going there every time I have the... More

We took a taxi up the hill to this nice family run restaurant. As in all of Italy the taxi drivers tend to be practicing for the next Formula 1 race. The restaurant decor makes you feel right at home. I really like steak florentian and have great ones at Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco in Florence. It was the best... More

Been to Al Toscano twice in seven days, first with my brother and later with my wife and daughters. Al Toscano is a must if you like your meat and you are in the Trieste region. Very good antipasti toscani, the ones made from boar were delicious. Of course, one will have to try their fiorantina, the Toscano T-bone steak,... More

On a winding hillside road in Trieste you will find this wonderful, cozy family restaurant. The grill is the centerpiece of the spacious room, and the chef lovingly cooks the Fiorentina and Costata steaks. We had a delicious appetizer of sausage and a type of prosciutto, followed by very homemade pappardelle with chinghiale and ribollita. The very reasonable Costata Della... More

As the name implies, they are specialized in cuisine from Tuscany (quite rare in Trieste). Unless they serve mostly meat, you can find a good choice ov vegetarian dishes, It is noteworthy the fact that you can have a gluten free meal (just ask before your order). Good wine, delicious home made desserts.

We rate this restaurant "average" mainly because this restaurant does only one thing well - the meat! If you love well-prepared (and enormous) steaks, you'll have a good meal. Order the meat, and only the meat (perhaps with a side) - all else was totally forgettable. We had some mixed bruschetta which was okay, risotto which we could have done... More

Apetizers were nice and tastefull. But when it comes to real thing why you should visit this place, and that is Fiorentina steak, it is apsolutelly excellent. This is the right... More
