For good food a right choice

My partner and I went to dinner and chose Chimero di Bacco. The smaller restaurant hidden between the streets of Trieste . The staff is very friendly, you get the feeling that for them is really important. We ate great and definitely come back again soon. I highly recommend !

One of our destinations was Trieste, and as a ritual in every town, we went for a dinner in Trieste as well. We asked around for some suggestions where we can find a good restaurant . The answer was Chimera di Bacco. What I can say, just amazing. Nice atmosphere with an excellent service. The stuff is really professional and... More

Nice warm place, good location, excellent service, proper variety in plates but a bit expensive. Small portions.

Our last night and we made the effort to find somewhere special. Unfortunately this restaurant didn't fit the bill. I'm sorry to say we had a more enjoyable meal at a local cheapy the night before. The staff were fine, but a fine restaurant needs more than fine staff. We read the bread had been amazing, not tonight. Veal was... More

We booked at Chimera based on the Michelin recommendation and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent from the minute we arrived. We decided to order the chefs degustation menu of 7 courses and 5 paired wines. Every course was a "surprise" and every course was incredible. The star of the night was the octopus cooked sous vide then... More

This is not really very difficult to find. Leave the Piazza Unita by the left hand corner furthest from the sea and then turn right and left and it is in the Via del Pane next on the right. Good service, great and imaginative food and value for money. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously, and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

Chimera di Bacco was a little hard to find but well worth it. The ambience wAs outstanding. Could be a special place for a special nightWe had scallops as an appetizer. Our companions had the tomatoes and cheese. Both were very delicious. We decided that with the awesome bread only a first course of spaghetti was necessary. Had the homemade... More

After reading reviews we reserved a table for dinner, which was just as well as folk without reservations were turned away on a Friday evening. We had four courses and although they were all very good we both rated the pasta course to be the star of the show. I had spaghetti with anchovy sauce and my wife had tagliatelle... More

We were recommended this restaurant by Aussie friends. We ordered the degustation 7 course with wine. Every course was delightful together with matching local wines. On reflection that choice was too much food for us as we had pre dinner drinks at the casual sister restaurant across the alley which included snacks. Comment on staffing, the two waiters and the... When we arrived at the restaurant it was empty maybe one couple in there. Our waitress said she had too look if she had a table. Meanwhile, another waitress comes up and seats us. We make our order. The food comes at a realitvely quickly pace. The food was very good. Once our main course was served we ask for... More
