We were recommended this restaurant by Aussie friends. We ordered the degustation 7 course with wine. Every course was delightful together with matching local wines. On reflection that choice was too much food for us as we had pre dinner drinks at the casual sister restaurant across the alley which included snacks. Comment on staffing, the two waiters and the... When we arrived at the restaurant it was empty maybe one couple in there. Our waitress said she had too look if she had a table. Meanwhile, another waitress comes up and seats us. We make our order. The food comes at a realitvely quickly pace. The food was very good. Once our main course was served we ask for... More

We had a lovely dinner here in August 2015. I started with the pasta with squid which was delicious. The squid was perfectly cooked and tender. This was followed by the sea bass baked in bread, and while this sounds strange, it was fabulous. A perfect evening in Trieste.

We came without a reservation and it was very busy. We only were waiting for a couple of minutes and they excused about it and gave us a great table. They realy tried to indulge us with little dishes and surprises. We ate very good meat and drank a very good red wine. We sat outside in a relaxes atmosphere... More

Excellent tasting menu. The chef took the trouble to make a special vegetarian option for me. We had the wine pairings to go with it which were also very good. Nice restaurant would be great for someone seeking a romantic dinner. Service was excellent

Hidden in one of the alleys of the city center we found this excellent urban cotemporary Italian food restaurant by chance. At 9:00 pm on a Friday night it was not busy at all. Great selection of local wines, home made dessert and a fast, service oriented waiter who was willing to make various recommendations. Main courses are simple but... More

The food is really superb! Sure it is also one of the more expensive restaurants in Trieste, but it is well worth the price. I had a simple pasta with pesto and shrimp, but wow the flavors! The waitress is really great with small children so we all had a lovely evening. So if you feel spoil yourselves with a... More

To find this restaurant is quite a feat, but it is worth it! It is historic s Italo Svevo, the writer ate here. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet street in the center of Trieste. We sat outside in the sun. There are two parts, one id more basic in look than the other and it is slightly... More

Lovely popular little restaurant in the old Jewish quarter behind the main piazza with a few outside tables. Food and service were very good at this great place recommended to us by our hotel. The food is innovative and beautifully prepared and presented. We enjoyed all that we tried but especially the lamb. Great range of meat and fish dishes... More
