Fun evening out

One of the largest restaurants in Ravenna and very close to the centre. A great atmosphere and an excellent range of tasty food.

A very large almost barn-like restaurant with lots of character. Most of the tables are set out in long rows each of which can hold up to about 20 people. Very friendly and helpful staff and reasonable price. Many of the dishes are rustic, we had lamb oven baked with lots of garlic and potatoes. Delicious! A lady who we... More

While we are not able to provide a review of the dinner, we do suggest this as a place for a nice glass of wine or two and to indulge in some local tapas type of appetizers. They had a generous selection of good wines from the region which we enjoyed. Glasses of wine run 4 Euro and you can... More

Interesting food but service is far below Italian average on our experience. Requests in English or Italian with English accent are not understood. Things forgotten but included in the bill. Long waiting times for each menu item.

This is my first trip to Italy, and my first meal, so I may be unaccustomed to the amazing food that's all around, but Ca' de Ven, was excellent. I had tagliatelle au ragu and roasted duck breast, with a sangiovese. Food and wine were wonderful. The owner (I presume) came by and chatted and she was charming and friendly.... More

We stopped here for an impersonal service and basic food. We had piadine, seafood risotto, average wine. The interior is impressive, but it can be a little dark. Bill was on the high side.

When we began to ask the girl on the reception desk at our hotel, where you can eat local food and drink local wine, she advised on this restaurant. It is in the center of old town and it was rather full despite the late time. The menu is large enough, we had very good local wine while preparing our... More

Visited on a busy Saturday evening. The place is fun, the space is unique and we enjoyed sitting with locals with whom we practiced our only mediocre Italian skills. The wine (by the glass only) was a very satisfactory Sangiovese. The food, however, was mediocre...a potato torte, mushroom and potato soup and fried calamari and mushrooms (bland and greasy). Definitely... More

Interesting place. We were drawn in because it looked like a cozy wine bar. Once in, we were completely ignored by the hostess/manager. A waiter came from the back room and took care of us. It was then that we learned how huge the place is. Thus, reading other reviews about people going there with their groups, it all makes... More
