Must visit

We were recommended to go here by locals. The atmosphere of the place is very nice, lovely painted ceilings as you enter. However it was a bit noisy. We ordered the piadine a traditional snack. We opted for a misto which consisted of a variety of cold cuts (selected by the chef) and cheese. Since... read more

Food here is really good. We shared mixed meat and cheese platter. Also had the mixed grill and Insalata misto. The fig caramelle marmalata was excellent. The wine setting and painting I also really enjoyed. Relatively inexpensive. Good service and atmosphere.

On our way to Comacchio from Ancona we made sure to hit Ferrara at lunch time so we could eat here. Fresh pasta and a ravioli made up our primi and procutto y melone plus salsicci bocantini with patata arosto med our segundos. This place is primarily a wine bar so the choices are tremendous for beverage, house red worked... More

This enoteca is housed in a building dating back to 1542. It has been in its current configuration since 1975. The interior is a visual treat and it seems to thrive at lunch and dinner when it fills with people. We arrived for lunch with the restaurant almost full. A table was still found for us. The waiter was prompt... More

I was seeking the !!!!! food experience but it was not quite there. I had the Cappelletti with meat sauce (cheese stuffed pasta). Huge delicious salad. Interesting set up with big tables. Ravenna is fabulous! And I've been all over Italy. Ravenna is special!

The building is great, a former spice and medicine shop. The place handles large groups well, whether an American tour group or a local business lunch. I was expecting a total tourist trap, but the food was OK and wine fine. We had the prosciutto salad and a pasta dish. Both fine and the service was busy but attentive. I... More

We were visiting Rsvenna and had found this place in Gambero Rosso, the restaurant guide for Italy. Good location in the Centro. Pretty space with lots of rooms. Some had fresco ceilings, some were bright and sunny. Long tables where you are seated with others but they usually space you out, very good grilled meats. I had local pasta, fat... More

Crowded and hopping. Seemed like lots of locals frequent. Companion had pasta with seafood and I had tortelli (essentially ravioli) with an eggplant sauce. Both very good. Semifreddo also good. Fastest service in Italy so far (a plus)

We splurged on a private walking tour of Ravenna. It was good. We learned more than we ever wanted to know about the mosaics and history of Ravenna but the best thing for me was that our guide brought us here for lunch. She was local so knew the place, the staff, and what would be good. She ordered us... More
