Good restaurant situated near the piazza Garibaldi, ingredients are fresh and well-cooked. Pasta dishes have good taste. Service is fast and efficient. It is quite nice to be able to eat “outside” given that they have veranda with heating system.

Food quality: good and traditional Parmesan cuisine. Interests for tourists: nice location in very downtown and one of the rare restaurants that opens Monday evening in Parma (most of the restaurants are closed on Monday evening in Parma). English speaking Service: sometime poor (I feel that they think they don't lack someone as you as there are too many others... More

It is one of the best restaurants in the historic center of Parma. Good local food and excellent service. The stuffed veal was very tasty, so was the pasta. Nice atmosphere with a majority of Parmiggiani.

I frequntly visit this restaurant. The staff is very friendly. Excellent local special meals (torta fritta, mixed Parma ham pate, parmiggano and secondi piatti like rabbit, etc), nice offer of limoncello and grappa.

If you are ever in Parma, you must eat here, as you will get a true taste of the Parma region. The menu has an excellent selection across all courses, from traditional Parma to steak, with everything cooked perfectly. Try the Pear and Chocolate tart for dessert, you wont be disappointed.

Good atmosphere overall, bad service and mediocre food, one bathroom for 150 people, this is a place I have been to before, but I will NEVER go back to again.

tried the prosciutto, tagliatelle, risoto, horse tartar (obviously for for meat lovers), salads, lambrusco wine, and semifreddo. All was wonderful, but the ham and tagliatelle were stellar. Well run family reastaurant, excellent service. Look no further.

We ate at Gallo d’Oro twice, and, without a doubt, these were two of the best meals we had during our almost two-week visit in Parma. The service and food, from the antipasta to the dulci, were excellent. Without the slightest hesitation, we highly recommend this restaurant.

We had an excellent meal here on a busy Friday evening. We sat in the busy central area where the manager is non-stop slicing ham and salumi to order. One complete ham was sliced during our meal. So the portions are generous and the menu is very typically Emilian and traditional. Excellent pasta. We ate well and for a good... More
