We went here for lunch and were delighted. The restaurant is small and charming. The city of Parma is filled with very good restaurants doing the local specialties, but this place was something different. From the first bite, you know you're in the hands of a chef who can really cook. I had house made pasta with branzino and cherry... More

We went for lunch, overall the meal was ok but the carpaccio d'anatra was not good (onions were very good though) and the chocolate mousse wasn't exactly tasteful. Side notes, as soon as we got in there was smoke smell in the room, the wine by glass was supposed to be sangiovese but the second one was definitely not (also... More

We saw a few tables in the middle of a closed street, and decided to have lunch there. What a surprise! It was a great lunch. We started with prosciutto and a duck carpaccio with onion marmalade.Very good. Then we had the taglioni with truffles and gamberoni with farro with a good Chianti. Creative and good. Finally for desert a... More

We thought an excellent restaurant but with my rating they are just an ordinary osteria like some others...we tried because we saw a michelen star but it doesn't mean that rated michelen is one of the best.costumer service is negative.food is not bad but just an ordinary thing as normal restaurants have..waitress seems just tired of her work and not... Thanks to Trip Advisor we walked to this restaurant from our apartment, not sure what to expect. When we arrived just after 8 pm on a hot August night, it was empty with tables in the street almost blocking it completely. Later on it started to fill which gave it a wonderful family atmosphere. The young lady who served us... More

After many trips to Italy driven by our hearts and stomachs, we finally made to Emilia-Romagna. What have we been waiting for. Osteria del Gesso was our first experience and was fantastic. Very reasonable for the food and wine we had. Both of our main dishes were fantastic. One warning is the menu is italian only. We got by with... More

Osteria del Gesso provided us with one of our most memorable meals on our recent trip. Lovated down a narrow street off of one of Parma's main thoroughfares, the restaurant offers seating in the main dining room or in a beautifully constructed and appointed cellar dining area. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, with soft lighting and warm decorations. Accessed... More

Brilliant! Osteria del Gesso is ideally situated in the centre of Parma. Had a great Sunday lunch there. The cusine of Parma features a horsemeat tartare called "cavallo pesto". There I enjoyed the best "cavallo pesto" I've ever eaten. Outstanding tortelli di zucca (ravioli with pumpkin filling) as well!

Discovered by chance in walking along rainy streets in the center, we were literrally transported to heaven by the meals discovered in this beautiful place. Such culinary creativity with local products ! We didn't imagine you could present parmigiano cheese in such surprising manners.... Everything is fresh, tasty and originally presented. A real treasure in the center of Parma !... More
