Not Too Touristy

We were recommended La Forchetta by the hotel receptionist. We had heard it was touristy and so were reluctant to follow the advice. However, having looked at the menu, we gave it a try. The food was the best we had in Parma and the restaurant was full of Italians, most of whom seemed local. We... read more

This is the best service by far that we have had in Italy. We sat outside, which was a great atmosphere. Quiet street, romantic and quaint tables. The two gentlemen that served us were kind, prompt, and really on their game. The plating of the food was impressive. The tortellini is quite delicious. Much better than the Trattoria Tribunale. The... More

Located in a side street near the cathedral in what appeared to be an ancient building, the restaurant was attractive inside and out. The food was generally very good, although our attempt to be adventurous by eating horse was disappointing. The wine was very good and the service was fine

This is a lovely little restaurant in Parma that seems to book up quickly. We used our normal trick of arriving early and promising to be done by 9pm when they needed our table for a reservation. We started with the mixed meat platter (when in Parma...) and I followed this up with lamb cutlets. I asked for my meat... More

The food was moderate and the service was terrible. We ordered a few dishes and each was more terrible than the last. The chocolate souffle was awful, and shouldn't be classified as one. The apple cake was disgusting. The waiters were snobby and rude, and it took forever. We ended up staying there for 3 hours just waiting for the... More

In the heart of Parma on B.go San Biagio you will find this great restaurant which will give you the opportunity to sample the best traditional food this famous region of Italy can offer, served by delightful and professional staff who will take the trouble to explain all the dishes and their heritage as you peruse the wide selection on... Found this restaurant by accident and went in because it was pouring with rain and freezing cold outside! Turned out to be an excellent choice - the food was sophisticated and very tasty and the ambiance was lovely. Not cheap but worth every penny. A great find.

We managed to squeeze in without a booking, for an early dinner, which was appreciated. I started with parmesan souffle, which was very nice indeed. My partner had Bream tortellini, which she also liked very much. For the next course, we decided to order pumpkin ravioli (against our better judgement), becuase the dish is so famous and popular in the... More

I went there several times, always great food and very nice personnel. Local food delicious, seafood excellent and wines are reasonably pricy. Highly recommended!!

We had a very nice lunch here yesterday. We started by sharing local ham and Parmesan cheese. The cheese came with honey and balsamic. We had a nice local red wine that went well with the pasta that we had as our main course. Service was good. The restaurant was nice inside. We were very happy with our lunch.
