This is a big and busy popular trattoria which also has tables outside. You walk in past the stacks of local hams, sausages and cheeses and a cook making a Parma speciality "torta fritta" (squares of pasta cooked in pork fat) and the best we had in Bologna. The service is good. As a main dish I chose a very... More

I found it surprisingly hard to find restaurants while traveling in Italy, as I found reviewers (and sometimes even locals) would often point me to the fancier restaurants that were mostly disappointing. But this place was the real deal. Delicious homemade ravioli and gnocchi, and the best plate of cured meats and cheeses we had in Italy. Service was very... More

Good value, excellent food and good service. Highly recommended because not on the main busy tourist street. MAKE RESERVATIONS! OR YOU CAN WAIT FOR A TABLE. Check out the fried bread or as they they call it, pane fritto. Very light and a specialty with the Parma proscuitto!

Very good food and the service is friendly and efficient. Good taste and presentation of food. Food, wine and other drink prices are very reasonable. Of course we went there because of reviews and Lonely Planet write up. But not like LP writes it, we did not see a gauntlet of ham slicers or waiters gauging ... Anyway a nice... More

On my first visit I had a very disappointing chicken leg stuffed with truffled mushrooms (10 euro) but was dry and seasoned rather unpalatably. But giving it a second chance, the black truffle tagliatelle (9 euro) was absolutely perfect with the impact of flavour from truffle and its sauce, and texture of the tagliatelle itself. My first time trying horsemeat... More

A great trattoria to experience the dishes of the region. From the cold cuts and torta frita to the grilled meat and pasta to the panna cotta it was all very good and an expectation in the region of food. Looks to be a regular hangout for the locals which is always a good sign. Service was fair and did... More

- We had pre-booked a table in advance at 9pm - When we arrived there was a queue outside the restaurant waiting to be seated... so booking is highly recommended - Nice ambiance inside full of local people - Starters: misto di tortelli & cappelletti in brodo... both were great, if i had to choose again i would go for... Had a very nice meal, perfectly paced (at least by American standards). Ravioli w/ butternut squash....perfect. As was the pasta w/ham. The fried bread was fine. Try it once and then? But a Parma thing. The tiramisu was a miss - soggy and bland, and the lemoncello was warm. But do go for the pasta. Oh, the mixed sliced meats... More

Very nice restaurant with locals as guests. We had a fantastic parmasano as a starter which tasted lovely. I had my most odd food ever as a secondi, guinea pig!
