We were referred to this restaurant by an Italian who lives in Parma. He travels around the world, and said this is one of his favorite restaurants. We adored it. The service was superb, and the food divine.

Sensacional! The owner, Filippo, taught us some important information about the Parmeggiano Regiano cheese and about the famous hams of Parma, witch were TOP! Much better than downtown restaurants! We had as appetizer the "Le Specialità Parmensi": Il Prosciutto di Parma D.O.P. di 38 mesi; La Spalletta di maiale nero (razza parmigiana) and Salame artigianale "Bocchi Anselmo with a great... Through an unpleasent street outside into a warm atmosphere inside, we found a nice, very kind and familiar service and maitre. Food quality was fairly good but not excellent as we expected by reading the recommendation in tripadvisor. At the same time the price was remarkably "hot".

Some of the best food ever tasted...sometimes a little bit over the top and a little bit too snobbish, but at the end of the dinner, one must say: it was perfect. Prices are high for Italy but not exagerated for what is served.

Great food. The owner's passion shows in everything. 42 months cured Parma ham? It does not get better than this. The detail to everything is fantastic. Tooth brushes in the bathroom for clients? Man o man, this is a great place. Everytime we go to Parma this is our first stop. And it will always be! On a scale of... More

Went for a special dinner with business colleagues. A friend and I have food allergies and were made a special menu. I ate the best gluten free bread I have ever had and there were 3 different kind! The food was exceptional and the attention to detail was a joy to behold. The service was excellent but not intimidating. My... More

I was invited for dinner to this small restaurant in Parma and had a wonderful experience. We went for a selection of fish based starters which were absolutely delicious and enough for a full dinner already. As a main dish I tasted turbot, which was fresh, tasty and wonderfully cooked. Service was outstanding, friendly and guided us throughout dinner. I... More

We ate at Al Tramezzo because of the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor. Let me now add mine to the list. This is a special restaurant which you shouldn't miss if you're in the area. When we arrived at 7:55 PM, the restaurant was empty, so we were a little concerned. But fear not -- the restaurant started to fill shortly... More

It is not the restaurant for your daily lunch or dinner. Better if someone will offer it to you. Disregarding the price, the food is delicious, both seafood and meat courses. Also the "creativity" in composing the plates worth to be seen. Waiter (one is the owner) very professional, also in suggesting the proper wine. If you want to impress... More

Went multiple times to Al Tramezzo and I have to say that it was always an outstanding experience. If your budget allows it, the fish tasting menu is the way to go. You will get to try the best the chef has to offer. If not, definitely try the octopus and the tagliolino with shrimp, mango and passion fruit. I... More
