Things have changed

I haven't read enough to confirm that ownership of the restaurant has changed, but all the people are different from when we visited four years ago (including the formerly all female kitchen staff, which now appears to be all male). The food, while still good, was not quite as exceptional as... read more

The food is absolutely top notch here. Really delicious and clever combinations of flavours make this restaurant stand out and actually pretty reasonably priced considering the quality. The first course of black gnocchi with squid prawns was outstanding (about €11), and the monkfish main (about €13) were the standout winners from our four dishes. It looks a bit shabby from... More

I went here with my girlfriend who is from Parma. It's a long slim place, white walls, yellow ceiling with exposed wooden beams. I cannot have the traditional four courses. We got a free small pumpkin flan anyway which was a delicate delight. I had pasta with a veal and smoked ricotta sauce. Lovely home made pasta. Then we got... More

The title tells it all. Excellent food, extensive wine list (a bit pricey, but you can find some good bottles at decent prices), very professional service, what more can you ask for? The two areas for improvement would be to advertise more openly that wine by the glass is available and most of all to offer proper bread. I know... More

Excellent food and service. One the the best restaurants I visited in Italy. There was a open kitchen . You could appreciate the work inside. A wonderful experience. The antipasti, hot dishes and dessert were excellent. We visited ther twice in Parma.

We made reservation one day before by email while in Milan and the response came in 10 minutes. Not so many restaurants open on Sunday. I also mentioned that we would celebrate my husband's birthday. We started with grilled cheese with bacon. It was to die for and then I ate duck and my husband had capeleti with broth. Superb... More

traditional and proper pasta but the wine was a knock out - literally. it was a local red. on the main drag and it opens early so useful for a meal before heading back to the hotel

Had dinner with my parents, wife and my two kids and could'nt have been happier. It was recommended by the Hotel staff and while the exterior is somewhat non descript, the meal was fabulous. Without a doubt our favorite restaurant in Parma with a great wait staff and great food. Victor spoke perfect English and was very helpful.

As an expat living in Parma and married to an Italian this used to be our favorite restaurant, it's been around since my husband was a child and was always an enjoyable meal. We returned last week with friends and were surprised to see that it had changed hands overnight. The menu has also changed and although much cheaper, it... More
