Not to be missed.

Even if you can't eat in the Hosteria behind this salumeria, it's well worth visiting. The products are of the highest quality, and there are plenty of things to stock up on or purchase as gifts. The family that runs it are knowledgeable, helpful, enthusiastic, and friendly.

This is a delicatessen shop that serves drinks and snacks in the evening. We had our drinks, we ate our snacks and off we were. Nothing more, nothing less - pretty average place.

We went to this restaurant with a group of nine. Our group leader chose the food as she had been here before. We had several appetizers, 3 main dishes and dessert. I think we needed more food ordered as portions are kind of small so we all ended up not quite satisfied. The food was tasty except for the squab... More

We went searching for this place after good reviews and found it near the military academy well within a short walk from the centre of Modena. The place was busy but we were offered a soon available table outside (Popular with local people) and offered from a very short verbal menu - think specials rather than a la carte. My... More

The previous excellent reviews are spot on! One of the best meals we have ever had in Italy. Come hungry and book very early! Highly recommend!

Everything you might have heard about this place being the greatest restaurant in Modena is true. Nothing can compare. If you can arrange a large party with the private dining room and a pre-planned menu, perhaps a little tour of the very small kitchen, and how they prepare these marvelous dishes, so much the better. The wine cellar in the... More

I came to this region of Italy for their food and this restaurant delivered. Only 4 tables and only open for lunch(it's not that expensive, it just depends on how many courses you order) . This place has made my experience in this region of Italy one to remember. What can I say, it was glorious. The service was attentive... More

Wow, this place was awesome. 4 tables, great menu and pleasant service. We couldn't decide what to order so we just got lots of half portions to share. Pasta with duck and citrus tart were to die for. I would drive an hour out of way to eat their again.

I read about this restaurant on a couple of foodie blogs before my trip to Italy and so booked a table well in advance. We weren't disappointed....except for the dessert. Reasonably priced for the quality of food and the service was wonderful. Primi and secondi were excellent but dessert was a disapointment all round. Still, would definitely return.

Four of us had lunch today at this unique little (4 tables) restaurant behind the salumeria. The antipasti and primi were consistently excellent, but none of us were fully satisfied with our secondi. The fried bread antipasta, a specialty of the house, was outstanding. For secondi, two of us had the rabbit, which had to be sent back initially because... More
