Delicious local cuisine with nice ambiance

Solid very good local cuisine. We liked it better than the more famous Drogeria de la Rosa. Waitstaff knew enough English to help us but the place is not at all touristy.

Wonderful food and friendly service. From my one visit it seems a favourite haunt of the locals (always a good sign) - as far as I could hear I was the only non-Italian speaker in there on that particular evening although of course there may have been other foreigners out of earshot. Certainly helps to be able to understand a... More

The food was well prepared and the service was excellent. It is a bit pricey but the quality is good. It was 80€ for 2 people starter, main and glass of wine.

Can confirm everyone's view that the food was very tasty at this family-run, homely restaurant with their freshly made pasta dishes and wonderful desserts at reasonable prices. If you are going on a Saturday, make sure you make a reservation as it gets very busy. We didn't and therefore ate outside in the month of May - it was a... More

This is a lovely little restaurant with obviously a great following - we were happy we had reservations as they were turning people away. We started with zucchini flower appetizer and at the suggestions of the owner, raviolis stuffed with a rich, red sauce. Lovely glasses of a local merlot matched our primo piatto perfectly. For dessert we shared a... More

Great pasta. Really friendly service. Nice restaurant. Medium-priced. Near town centre. Simple but highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. My husband and I wanted a quiet night with authentic Italian food and we found it here. The husband and wife are very sweet and the pasta is homemade. Make sure to leave room for dessert, the chocolate cake was to die for.

Absolutely loved Traviatta, my wife stayed in Bologona for two days and went to Traviatta both nights. We were recommended this place by the owner of the place we were stayed at. Everything we had Traviatta was fantastic both food and wine, starter, main course and desert. Everyone who worked there was friendly and offered us things that were not... More

This is what our Airbnb host told us about la Traviata. I don't know if that's true, but I do know that our first dinner was so spectacular we returned the next night (we were only in Bologna for two nights). The atmosphere is very low key, with a family feel. But the food...well, the food is homey, sure, but... More

Its a wonderful little restaurant just a wee bit south of Piazza Maggiore. The owners are friendly and attentive, and extremely knowledgable about their food. There is a menu, but they'll happily rattle off what is _actually_ available (over and above the menu), and _those_ are the items that you want to go for. In particular, see if they have... More
