Go for the pasta

It's nothing special, a quaint family restaurant specialising in the very core of Tuscan cuisine, but there were two things done better at La Triviata than any of the other 6 restaurants we've tried in this very brief tour: The pasta... We ate here after having drinks at Hotel Touring (they have a very nice roof top bar). As we just turned up we couldn't get a table outside so I suggest you book if you do want to eat al fresco. We shared two portions of the deep fried Zucchini flower with mozzarella between the four of us and it... More

We absolutely loved this restaurant and it was probably the meal we had during our two weeks in Italy. It is run by a family with the Nona cooking in the back. What makes this restaurant special is the homemade pasta. We had heard that pasta in Bologna was fantastic but only really believed it after having our first bite... More

We got there and we kind of knew what we wanted. Based on that the lady who attended us -probably the owner- led us to happiness by suggesting what was fresh and delicious. Artichoke salad, and fungi prosciutto tagliatelle!!! Let her decide, she won't get it wrong.

Recommended by our friend, we were not disappointed - I would recommend sitting inside. Family run and simple authentic food - great flavours.

We went to this place led by the positive reviews on yelp. The food we tried in this trattoria was ok, but not spectacular. However, I should acknowledge that we didn't order meat or pasta, something the trattoria specializes on, according to the reviews. We had an antipasto of fried vegetables, also fish and a platter of cheese. Being not... More

Recomended to us by a fried from Bologna living abroad, it still blew us away even with higher expectations. Great atmosphere, very kind and friendly service and the food is excellent - perfectly prepared home made pastas with all the fresh ingredients. After dinner last night we're going back for lunch today.

Truly outstanding, small, mid-priced osteria with superb house-made pasta (plus lots more) as well as very pleasant, efficient service. Best of the three highly rated (on T/A) restaurants we visited during our Bologna visit. Let them tell you what's good the day you visit and trust me that it will be one of the most flavorful, satisfying meals you will... More

We ordered our meal entirely off the specials menu and it was fantastic. The host was so welcoming and enthusiastic about the food. For our starter we had deep fried stuffed courgette flowers which were absolutely delicious. I would definitely go back. The staff could speak a bit of English but enough so we could understand what was available and... More

This restaurant was recommended by a colleague and it was awesome! The staff are friendly and since we didn't speak any Italian, we asked them to surprise us and they certainly did not disappoint. The fresh mushroom and celery salad, the fresh homemade pasta, the lovely dessert. 85euros for two, we ate outside and enjoyed the experience. A lovely family... More
