On our first night in Bologna we wanted to eat somewhere close to our Hotel. (Hotel Touring) We took a chance on La Traviata and oh boy were we glad we did! The couple who run it are great, the wife makes all the pasta, which is absolutely perfect, the husband is very knowledgeable about wine and chose one to... More

Tortellini with truffles that was the ultimate gastronomic experience. Dessert- there is no such bliss as Mascarpone's of the restaurant "La Traviata".

La Traviata was an all-around delightful dining experience. I booked through The Fork (and if you're travelling, be sure you have this great app!) and while we seemed to be the only Americans there on a December night, our service was friendly and attentive, the ambiance felt "neighborhood gem", and the food was excellent. In fact, it was such an... More

I really like this place. Its not going to win any awards for design or anything but its a great friendly restaurant that does great Italian "home cooking" I would particularly recommend any of the pasta dishes with black truffels

It has been three years since we last visited and it was as good as we remembered. The owner's wife speaks enough English to guide you through the menu and her husband is good with the wine list. Great atmosphere, wonderful food, not the cheapest meal we had but when the evening is as good as this the little difference... More

Fantastic lasagna, tagliatelle with fresh mushrooms and personalized service. Great local wines. This is a quiet restaurant where everything is handmade.

My wife and I dined here four years ago on our last trip to Bologna and thoroughly enjoyed it. It remains as good as it was before. The owners are always present. The comfortable room is full of locals and everyone is having a very good time (and a great meal). The prices are reasonable and the quality is very... More

On our recent trip to Bologna, we had dinner at La Traviata twice. It was that good ! Chef Manuela is just masterful at the art of making home made pasta. This is a family run restaurant in a convenient, quiet location that is filled with local charm. We spent a couple of hours with Manuela on one afternoon as... More

We arrive without booking and the nice manager found us a table for two although the restaurant seemed to be full. We took fried zucchini flowers for starters. They were very fresh and tasty. The main courses (pumpkin tortellonis and aspargus and ricotta pasta) were absolutely delicious. Home made by the tenant, maybe the best pasta we ever ate! I... More
