We visited La Traviata on our first night in Bologna, it was recommended to us by the hosts at our B&B. We had a great meal accompanied by a great bottle of wine. We both had pasta dishes for our first course and agreed it was the best pasta we had eaten. We would definitely recommend a visit to La... More

5 minutes walk from the busy tourist attractions but, you'll be rewarded. Mother is driving the service, and she rocks ! You'll be charmed by the way she'll make you dream about the plates, she has this gentle italian touch to ask about your preferences , she'll compose the menu, antipasti, pasta, ragu... She will suggest a wine to go... More

Good grilled vegetables and very nice service — my girlfriend asked for a wine recommendation but didn’t like it, and the owner took note and didn’t charge us for the glass.

La Traviata is so good that we ended up having dinner twice at this restaurant, first and last night of our stay in Bologna. Antonio and Manuela, owners run this restaurant beautifully. They can be called the dynamic duo. Antonio did not fail us with his wines recommendation and Manuela ensured that Antonio helped her transmitting to us her recommendations... More

Genuine Emilia Romagna cusine in Bologna centre though off the main tourist routes. A very warm welcome greeted us. After asking our preferences, a superb combination of Traviata antipasit and a tris of pasta were selected, two of which stood out - the garganelli with salsiccia & carciofi, and the tagliolini with asperagus & speck. This was followed by home... More

Everything about La Traviata feels right. The food is fresh and tastes delicious, and even though there is a menu my advice would be to eat what the owners recommend each night as their 'specialities'. Antonio and his wife are extremely friendly and welcoming, both having a passion for the food and wine that they not only serve but also... More

My husband, Charles and I went to La Traviata as recommended by our bed and breakfast hosts. We had one of the best dinners and night out in all of Italy. Antonio and his wife gave wonderful recommendations, took the time to explain the menu in English, and helped pick out the wine and the best dessert. Our food was... More

La traviata La mama makes the pasta right in front of you. The food is simple but realy delicious! Honest kitchen with local fresh ingredients. We had zucchini flowers in batter, also called 'frittata' mmmmm A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The pasta with pumpkin was my favorite. When we go to Bologna, we go to la traviata.
