After AA Gill's write up in the Sunday Times we decided to give this place a try. Manuel, the owner, is quite a character, very friendly and joking with everyone, and he borrowed random babies to parade around, which helped us to forget that we were waiting almost an hour for our starters! The lasagne and tagliatelle were very good,... More

I used to live in Bologna and this was my favorite place in the city center. 5 years after things haven't changed, Emanuele provides always the most amazing experience. Great wines, great atmosphere and the best filetto al balsamico ever !

Lovely restaurant tucked away on a quiet street. We loved the welcome prosecco and starter. The manager had a big personality and seemed to genuinely want everyone to enjoy their experience. We never saw a menu or prices but after the delicious meal and wine we were pleasantly surprised and would say it was really good value.

This place is rather average but in a unique setting (being in an old pharmacy). The waitress had recommended the special veal on the menu with tuna but it was very disappointing and overpriced. The tuna tasted no better than tinned tuna (which it may have been), although I am told by friends that when this dish is done correctly... More

Based on a friends recommendation we booked a Sunday lunch here in the middle of June. It was a warm day and we sat under a parasol outside on the fairly quiet street. Immediately on arrival we were offered a cold glass of prosecco and some nibbles. Warm fresh bread followed. The menu was explained to us by the new... More

It did not start off great due to Google telling us that it opens at 7:30pm for us to sit down (we knew the kitchen opened only from 8:30pm) - the very adorable waitress told us to come back at 8:15pm. So we sat at a nearby tiny cafe that served amazing spritz (campari one is particularly good) for only... More

We couldn't manage to book this restaurant and turned up on an evening when Italy were playing in the world cup. We took at seat inside the eclectic interior and were told that the kitken didn't open till 8.30pm. I thought the 45 mins would drag but with a glass of prosecco and some fresh warm bread our evening got... More

We are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. Not a great evening for Italian football fans, but you know, it's part of the game. We'll be more than glad to welcome you again! More

If you're in Bologna it's worth it to miss all the sights and spend a few hours here. Delicious food, fair prices, and great atmosphere with the owner chatting with everyone, always prosecco or wine in hand. Bolognese, steak with balsamico, mascarpone with pears...yummy. The restaurant is also really characteristic as it's a converted pharmacy. Can't recommend this place enough.
