Nice, chic Bologna restaurant

Artichokes is one of their specialty in many way. Appetizers are vey delicious as well as wine. Pasta is good but I think it's not the best in town. The mood is great. Staff are friendly and very welcoming.

The restaurant has a very good selection of food and wine. The quality is excellent, prices are a bit high and portions are quite small. A place where to stop if you are in town!

I visited this restaurant on a recent buisiness trip to Bologna. Having spent a fair amount of time in the city, it was a pleasure to find this little gem. The dishes are fairly traditional but prepared with care. The restaurant gets very busy, especialy after 7.30pm and service can slow down because of it. On my visit the whole... More

My husband and I have been to Italy 3 times in the last few years. Each time, we visit Cesarina and it is the best restaurant by far! We have visited Rome, Florence, Venice and Naples. I always visit Bologna for a business meeting and then a nice dinner. I always request this place as it is so delicious! The... More

This is not the place to go if you are in a hurry or on a budget. However, if you have time and are willing to spend a bit, the results are likely to be worthwhile. It took 10 - 15 minutes for anyone to take my order (or the orders of others who arrived just before or after me),... More

Visited on our first night, the restaurant was empty but it was early, Italians seem to dine late. We were greeted warmly & shown to a small screened area which we were disappointed about as we like to be in main rooms. However maybe they were being kind as by the time we left the place was full & buzzing.... More

My wife and I had dined at Da Cesarina on three prior occasions, the last being in 2010. We found the cuisine excellent and the service quite nice. Thus, when were returned to Bologna, we naturally returned. This time, I noticed the menu had not changed. The decor, while the same, appeared a bit worn. Our meal was adequate but... More

We were tired at the end of a few days in the area. This does not seem to be a tourist trap and most of clients locals. The food was at all times quite good up to good but a little variable as we each had 3 courses and compared. Food was a bit Italian standard but with some nods... More

We enjoyed our lunch, which included a meat sampler, tortellini in brodo, and tortellini in a cream sauce. Although the price was a little high, the quality of the food and service made it a nice treat. The location and atmosphere are convenient.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted well and nothing was too much trouble - this was truly professional service. Our waiter took great care in explaining the dishes we chose to ensure we had the best from our starter, pasta and main course. This is Bologna, and as you would expect of their local speciality, the tagliatelli and... More
