Nice setting, wait staff wear black at night and white at lunch time. Really good food and service - definitely not a "tourist trap".

Dined here with another couple. Had a lovely night. Staff were attentive and informative. The food was really nice, enjoyed the green pepper sauce with the steak. Would highly recommend dining here, really impressed.

Just just delicious. Went to the restaurant on two consecutive nights and still had so many dishes that I wanted to try. Quite similar to Tuscany dishes, but the way the use tomato in Emilia Romagna was different - if you are going to Florence, taste the difference, you should enjoy. And unlike cities like Venice or Florence, price was... More

This is a beautiful location and we had a table outside with a view of the square. We realized that his might affect the price and quality. We certainly did pay for what we got! Our starters of pumpkin and zucchini flowers were just right. My daughter’s cream of vegetable soup was excellent. The house red wine was good. The... More

I didn't have high hopes given the tourist flow through this location, but this restaurant turned out to be very good. The anchovy antipasto was made with quality ingredients. The pumpkin ravioli however was extremely sweet and I couldn't finish it. Perhaps that is the traditional recipe but it was as sweet as a dessert and I wished I had... More

Really enjoyed our meal here. The waiter was excellent. He was from Cambodia but lived in Italy for twenty years. He was very helpful and spoke perfect English. Overall a very pleasant evening with great food and wine.

The restaurant is very popular place in Bologna. Full of italians, what mean that not only russians who are adore italian food and not choosy love the food here. The waiters are all mature and mannered people, working like actors in the theater. Meat and desserts liked most. Many thanks.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant in the Piazza Maggiore area of the historic part of Bologna. When we first got there they put us in a back room even though hardly anyone was in the restaurant yet (saying that everything else had been "reserved").....the only people in the back room were the only other Americans in the restaurant- a group... I am surprised at some of the other notices, which were not happy with the restaurant. Our first dinner there was so good, that we returned a second time, and it was then even better. Their fried foods were unbelievably good. A frito misto of sea food and a fried pumpkin flower were both superb; only slightly dusted with flour,... More

Undecided what to order, the owner, Massimo Montanari, came to our rescue but suggestion Tris di minestre Cesarina: 3 pasta dishes for two consisting of Lasague which is the best followed by Sedanini con proscuitto e funghi porchini, unusaual of which we never had before and Granmique on Sdsiccia. The main dish was Costolette Agnello fritte: Fried lamb chop, first... More
