Food and service was wonderful. I would definitely return. My only complaint (and this applies to most Italian restaurants) is the ambiance is lacking...florescent lighting, bad art work, inexpensive and unattractive furnishings. Overlook these things and you'll have a wonderful meal. P.S. Have... read more

Great location but the food was average and the wine overpriced. The service was good but I wouldn't be rushing back too soon.

A beautiful spot to dine but sadly the food is a shade above mediocre. We went on a Sunday when not as much is open and hoped for the best. Have a drink or a coffee before dinner but eat somewhere else. And it's overpriced because of its location.

Had dinner here last night. The wine they recommended - Damilano, Liste from Barolo was spectacular. The tagliatelli al ragu and ossobuco cremolato were both excellent. The staff were all very friendly and provided good advice on the menu. The dessert was the low point - torta di riso. Other than the dessert, it was all very good.

I could not get a reservation in another restaurant and that is how I settled for Cesarina. I am glad I did. It was one of the best meals that I had in recent times. The poached egg, parmesan and truffle was a stunner. The mains Pork steak stuffed with ham, porcini and black truffle was delicious too. I also... More

We walked past this restaurant on our last Sunday in Bologna and it was in such a nice setting in a lovely square that we booked it for lunch. It was a delicious meal starting with fried courgette flowers, then amazing pasta stuffed with pumpkin. On their recommendation we shared a grilled turbot which was delicious. Bologna is full of... Nice setting, wait staff wear black at night and white at lunch time. Really good food and service - definitely not a "tourist trap".

Dined here with another couple. Had a lovely night. Staff were attentive and informative. The food was really nice, enjoyed the green pepper sauce with the steak. Would highly recommend dining here, really impressed.

Just just delicious. Went to the restaurant on two consecutive nights and still had so many dishes that I wanted to try. Quite similar to Tuscany dishes, but the way the use tomato in Emilia Romagna was different - if you are going to Florence, taste the difference, you should enjoy. And unlike cities like Venice or Florence, price was... More

This is a beautiful location and we had a table outside with a view of the square. We realized that his might affect the price and quality. We certainly did pay for what we got! Our starters of pumpkin and zucchini flowers were just right. My daughter’s cream of vegetable soup was excellent. The house red wine was good. The... More
