At da Fabio, there was no menu, just a constant stream of delicious plates of food. There were at least seven different antipasti-vegetables, paté, mortadella, ricotta which were shared among three friends. We had choices among the primi patti and the tagliatelle al tartufo (heavy on the tartufo), tagliatelle al ragu and tortelloni ai porcini that we selected were all... More

Quite off the beaten track in Bologna, this little restaurant is well worth searching out.A little disconcerting for my wife and at first as there is no menu to give you a guide as to what to expect. No need to worry, you don't order, the enthusiastic owner just explains what delights he is going to serve up! The antipasta was fantastic,6 or 7... More

If you are in bologna you can't skip a visit to this restaurant. Starters and first dishes are excellent. We closed with dessert and ice cream a virtual trip to paradise!

GO HERE! This was the best food we ate on our trip to Italy. All is made "in-house", and the owner is rightfully proud of his fare. We never ordered, just let him feed us. OMG good! The bolognese sauce is the best I have ever had. All the pasta was fresh and perfect. Everything was perfect. Even the amazing... More

Outstanding service and food. Copious amounts of the best Italian food I've eaten. The mozzarella alone is worth the trip. Fantastic wine recommendations, and the owner and chef made us feel like part of the family.

We were brought there by our generous son and daughter-in-law, and had such a good meal that we returned after they left the city and again had a very good meal. Wait until after you've been served the antipasto before ordering further courses - the delicious antipasto had us floored!

Nice, simple food. Just book well in advance, as the place is tiny. Follow the owner´s suggestions, who is always there to take care of every single detail. Enjoy every single course, but leave space for the desserts that are home made and presented as if you were still in the kitchen with the cook trying them before they are... More

We were about 15 people following a day of business meetings, so that is not your typical quiet dinner for two. The waiter/maitre d' was essentially given free reign, so there were no individual orders. The meal was simply superb Italian cooking. It was served family style, but it appeared that everybody sampled every item. The first course included delicately... More

Little gem of a restaurant, tucked away in a cosy, cavernous basement with a warm homely feel to it; friendly staff (well, just 1 waiter, serving the 5 tables). Food is bountiful, and good; it is simple, pure food - no big complications, nor smothering sauces, just good food, simply prepared and light on additives. The menu is on the... More
