Traditional, athmospheric, cosy, huge portions!

We got recommended to this place from the hotel, and it was a great find. The place is small and cosy, and full of noisy local people, but it just adds to the athmosphere. They just keep bringing food to your table, and the portions are huge (and the food is very good too).

Ate here last year in March with a few work colleagues. Set in a narrow side street about 10 minutes from the centre. The restaurant is small, cosy and traditional. Unfortunately we hadn't booked and the restaurant was packed, but we decided to sit it out, a few glasses of wine helped the half hour wait tick along nicely. We... More

I've been many times, probably my favorite restaurant here. Great and friendly service, cozy atmosphere and the very best food. Ultra fresh, the best ingredients and everything is prepared in-house (even the ice cream!). Strongly recommended.

Every time I went to Bologna I used to go to Fabio and have an amazing dinner with my friends living there. The place is located on the ground floor, just below the street level and is run by Fabio in a very unique and elegantly eccentric style. There is no set menu, but Fabio will propose you every night... More

This restaurant is worth a visit whenever you are in Bologna! Located in the corner between via Castiglione / del Cestello you will find a culinary "jewel". Don´t expect a menue card - the Chef will offer you a choice of best Italian dishes anyway. We were there during truffle season - if you like truffles then you shouldn´t miss... More

At da Fabio, there was no menu, just a constant stream of delicious plates of food. There were at least seven different antipasti-vegetables, paté, mortadella, ricotta which were shared among three friends. We had choices among the primi patti and the tagliatelle al tartufo (heavy on the tartufo), tagliatelle al ragu and tortelloni ai porcini that we selected were all... More

Quite off the beaten track in Bologna, this little restaurant is well worth searching out.A little disconcerting for my wife and at first as there is no menu to give you a guide as to what to expect. No need to worry, you don't order, the enthusiastic owner just explains what delights he is going to serve up! The antipasta was fantastic,6 or 7... More

If you are in bologna you can't skip a visit to this restaurant. Starters and first dishes are excellent. We closed with dessert and ice cream a virtual trip to paradise!

GO HERE! This was the best food we ate on our trip to Italy. All is made "in-house", and the owner is rightfully proud of his fare. We never ordered, just let him feed us. OMG good! The bolognese sauce is the best I have ever had. All the pasta was fresh and perfect. Everything was perfect. Even the amazing... More

Outstanding service and food. Copious amounts of the best Italian food I've eaten. The mozzarella alone is worth the trip. Fantastic wine recommendations, and the owner and chef made us feel like part of the family.
