A fantastic way to understand Bolognese Cuisine

Not only was the location, excellent and central, but the place was a cozy restaurant with a few tables surrounded by a Decor that screamed tales of successful meals. The food was truly terrifiic, starting with the amazing antipasti, Primi to write home about and if you are lucky and they have... read more

Don't go on a full stomach - you will eat a lot, you can't help yourself because it so good, and so plentiful. There is no menu - lots of appetizers appear, all top quality and different from the usual offerings (a wonderful fennel salad, a tomato-onion salad where the onions have been cooked for minimum 5 hours, delectable) .... Recommended by local friend who insisted on making a booking for us. Small, intimate and typically Italian, offering traditional courses and local dishes . We had a mixed selection of aperitivos dishes, a pasta course, two bottles of prosecco, dessert course of selection of homemade gelato, fresh cherries , tart & caramel, liquors & all for £40 each! Lovely experience... More

We were recommended this restaurant by a local - always a good thing. No menu and no real idea of what we were letting ourselves in for but the experience fantastic. Plenty to eat - simple but tasty Italian fayre with plenty to drink during and after the meal. Next time we are in Bologna we will be back!

Not a conventional place for a business dinner but came very highly recommended. Did not disappoint. No menu. Our waiter, Andrea, brought out whatever was being made. And he chose the wine. Will definitely go back.

This was our favorite meal in Italy. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that on another evening after having 2 small courses at another restaurant and not being impressed and not liking the other menu options we ended our meal there and returned to da Fabio for the appetizer course which had different items than the previous night and... Our team had a great dinner at this restaurant. Food was absolutely delicious! No menu but really there was no need for it! You just have to trust this team to bring you the food that you will enjoy! Plenty food to choose from once it arrives at the table. Don't forget to leave some room for the pudding as... More

There is no written menu. With a bit of a theatrical performance, we were told what we'd be presented with (in excellent English) and a huge selection duly appeared. There was a good choice for even the fussiest of eaters, and each dish was delicious. The meal was finished off with complementary grappa and limoncello, and apart from feeling somewhat... More

Excellent food. Every dish was delicious. No menu - the waiter, who was brilliant, simply brought a series of starters and then we chose pasta dishes from a verbal list. We shared a main course which was equally fantastic and then helped ourselves to dessert from a collection laid out on an adjacent table. Wonderful.
