Great Bolognese food

Altho a bit cramped inside the service and food were both excellent and they had good, inexpensive vino de casa, both red and white. The garden was only open on weekends but we'd try to sit there if we ever return.

We were staying within walking distance and it was recommended . I really enjoyed the ambience provided by the owner and his attentive staff. The selection of cured meats and cheeses was very good. The wine list was interesting and we were impressed by a cab sauv wine from the Bologna area (Bastione?). Don't be put off by the slightly... More

Worth the walk or taxi ride. A cozy warren of rooms carved deep into Via Catarina offers you a range of salami, prosciutto, great breads, fabulous smoked ricotta and a daily rotation of pasta. I had the tortelloni stuffed with ricotta: abundant and delicious. A secondo of grilled vegetables and heavenly smoked ricotta was a perfect arrangement of colors, tastes,... More

We went to this restaurant on our last night, it was recommended by the owner of the apartment we had rented. The food was outstanding. Although our waiter did not speak very good English we just ordered what he recommended despite not really understanding what was coming as they were largely local specialities which we were not familiar with. Our... More

this was our second times we came to this place, it is one of the places most frequented by the locals. And I do know why! We had a plate with anti pasta Salumi, which was very good. So taste full. The main dishes: tortellini in brood was heavenly, as well the lasagna. The dolce: chocolate cake was so good... More

Dear All, When you think about Italian food after pasta what you think?...PROSCIUTTO! It's unbelieveble how good the cold cuts platters are! There are so many kind you cannot imagine. Also the magnificent platters of cheese (italian or french) are amazining. The soup are special too: ribolitta was even better then in Tuscany! And try Cotoletta alla bolognese, is really... More

A casual eatery in a hidden corner of Bologna. Menu is simple yet excellent. Huge portion of meat and cheese platter, 3 types of fresh handmade pasta that changes daily, and excellent wine at reasonable price. Had the best tortellini and tortelloni ever. Staff are very friendly and spoke good English. Space is small inside but garden at the rear... More

I loved the restaurant the minute I entered, the deco was very rustic but elegant, the aroma was simply mouth watering. The owner is extremely friendly and always recommend the best dishes according to yr taste. We had a complete meal with antipasto (tagliere of course), pasta gramigna and meat . Their wine selection is super, too. A must if... More

Busy and bustling, the restaurant looks tiny from outside! Inside, it's a warren of lovely rooms and corners. The staff are charming, helpful and make time to chat even though they are rushed off their feet! The food is local, simple and of excellent quality. There is a huge range of salami 'plates' offering different combinations, then home made pasta... More

The taglieri with salumi and pappa al pomodoro are really good, the garden inside is a little jewel but the price for what they offer is a bit expensive.
