I'll make this short and sweet (no pun intended): this is the best gelato I've ever tasted and I probably have eaten way too much! So, my advice is simple: if you are in Bologna and you have a pulse, go to Piazza Cavour and treat yourself. You won't be sorry.

after extensive research over a two week period my husband and I voted funavia second best for ice cream , it is a beautiful clean place with plenty of space and lots of choices , the staff are very helpful (you pay first then go with a member of staff to choose your flavors) there is a small garden area... I found this gelateria in Bologna by accident - and what an accident this was! They have the tastiest and most sumptuous ice cream I have ever tasted. It is rich, luxurious and, well, to die for. Do not miss it!

One of the best ice cream shop in Bologna with very good tastes especially made for the custumers .My favourite is san luca and alice mascarpone with fluid black chocolate. An experience to do.

We all know that Italians make the best ice cream but this is the best of the best. A little shop on the roadside bedside the park as clean as a whistle, fast service, in tubs or little cornets, sit in the garden and enjoy or take away. A real must.

The bright modern interior and fabulous ice-creams attract the crowds despite being slightly off the main passegiata routes; but well worth the short detour into Piazza Cavour. At 11 PM on a warm September evening the queue stretched out of the door, across the pavement and into the road! But the service was quick and friendly. Unlike some gelaterie, La... More

There will be a queue in the entrance but don't worry because you will not be there enough time to choose your flavor! There were so many flavors that choosing is a very difficult task! There EN translation. You will have to come back 2 or 3 times to try the most attractive flavors. Very clean and fast service. The... More

I was told that this was the best gelato in bologna (by my food tour guide) and it did not disappoint. Delicious, creamy and flavorful! They also have great granitas - fresh, vibrant fruit flavors. Ok, maybe we tried a bit too many gelato shops on our recent trip. But this one was our favorite in terms of quality and favors. And the lines support our recommendation!

Good choice of flavours, quality products, long lines but moving fast, long opening hours 12-23:30,closed monday, a bit expensive for what it is but still worth trying when you are in the area.
