Small dining room, so book ahead. The homemade pasta and specialties like zucchini rolls are outstanding. Guinea fowl -- second plate--was outstanding. Great service. We loved it !

It was a huge mistake coming here, and there were bad signals from the beginning. First of all, there was a sign on the door saying, in English, “Come in, we’re open.” And in we went only to be told they didn’t open for another 30 minutes, so we waited and entered only to then be told there were upcoming... I have been reading the Italian reviews of this restaurant, which confirm my impression: it's the real thing. If you want Bolognese food in Bologna, this is the place. Reservatons are necessary by the way. The tortellini are terrific but you will be safe ordering anything on the menu, to judge from the experience of the four of us at... More

How amazing. The food was simple yet amazingly flavorful. The gnocchi was super light and melted in my mouth with a nice sauce that didn't overpower and aptly complemented the gnocchi. My secondo was cacciatore and was super. I never thought that such a well known and often prepared dish could be so good. Again not too much flavor and... More

A spur of the moment choice & we were not disappointed. A family run business that aims to please. Excellent, excellent pasta (Gorgonzola & bolognese dishes). Plus, we shared the roasted rabbit....awesome. Wine selections were good and the local Cabernet they recommended was delicious.

Oh my god, the food is amazing, the best we ever had.The gnocchi in Gorgonzola sauce is the die for as is the ravioli. The staff are very friendly and helpful.the restaurant is very homely and unpretentious. The restaurant is very small so you have to book.It is an absolute must to eat here.

A friend recommended this restaurant to us as a "don't miss it" kind of place. We showed up for lunch right when they opened. Within 5 minutes the place was full. There are about nine 4-seat tables ... and the dining room can't hold more than that. We were the only travelers there. The rest were locals. It was obvious... More

While it may take some time to find this restaurant, it is one of Bologna's hidden gems. Serghei was recommended by a very good Italian friend so my wife and I were determined to find it. We arrived around 1130 and they did not open until 1200. As we were standing at the front door reading the menu, a woman... More

Arrived here via hotel's direction at 2.30pm for a light lunch. Not everything was available ( understandably ) so we had a most delicious pasta course and some cheese. Wine was well priced and very good. Cannot recall but lovely Italian white. They let us in and fed us at 2.30pm - most accomodating, we thought. We 4 had just... More

Since the restaurant had a reasonably good menu and was populated with Italians, I would have expected much better. We had to wait 15 minutes and when we returned the table was not ready for some time. The waiter was impatient and rushed us into ordering. Much of the menu content was not available. The food was OK but not... More
