I still have not figured out what happened on that night. I normally do not rate restaurants but the service at this place made me make an exception. Maybe the staff thought that the Slavic language we spoke was Russian and with MH17 down, they went for a payback. Or they figured correctly that it was Czech and went for... More

Staying at the Hotel Porta San Mamolo, we assumed we couldn't just eat at the restaurant across the street... having ventured further afield into central Bologna, we returned for a late night bite at Le Mura. Great food, really friendly and welcoming staff. Worth a visit either if staying nearby, or wanting to wander off the beaten track of the... More

This was very convenient for our hotel, and though we were not very inspired by the limited seafood and fish menu, we ate here as both the other nearby restaurants were full. For our starters we had seafood linguine and anchovy balls, which already a strong taste, was not improved by an over strong tomato sauce. Of only three main... More

An excellent Sicilian seafood restaurant in Bologna. We agree with all the positive reviews. A wonderful meal, and when the owner discovered my wife is of Sicilian heritage he brought out a special liqueur for us. Don't miss it if you're in the area.

This is a fish restaurant, possibly the best one I have ever eaten in. It was certainly the best meal that had during our Italian trip. We had the fish of the day which was done to perfection. The starter, while we waited for the main course, was a dish made up of three samples which included ceviche. This was... More

Ate at La Mura during our recent break in Bologna. The Sea food is fantastic and very fresh (you can choose from the catch of the day). Don’t be put off by the fact it is a little tucked away; it gives it more charm when you finally find it! Great value too.

The staff was wonderfull, but the cuisine not so much. It was good don't get me wrong but excellent. The sea bass was a little dry, and the octopus gummy (it's hard to get a soft octopus I know), but still, they have few things on the menu and they should be perfect. The wine selection was nice, the deserts... More

We really loved this restaurant and it was just next to our hotel (Porto San Mamolo). Great because they stay open very late. The pasta alla vonguole was incredible!

Does not heavily advertise itself - directly across from the Hotel Porta San Mamolo - fish and more fish. Combinations that work so well and fresh.

Without exception the menu, based on totally fresh fish, is wonderful, totally wonderful. Seasonal starters and great attention to detail in making sure you are a happy customer. A place worth visiting Bologna for, in itself. Deserves more awards.
