I have to admit that I was more motivated by convenience than anything else: the restaurant is across the street from Porto San Mamolo, where I was staying. We stayed at the Hotel Porta San Mamolo. The Le Mura restaurant is right across the road of the hotel. We had two dinner while we were there. Very friendly services and great food. The last day we had as primi lobster and pasta and a fresh fish as secondi. The wine suggestion was great with the fish and good... More

This is a seafood-only restaurant, which is just fine as the chef's expertise and passion come through in very-well prepared dishes. The setting is warm and appealing, at once casual but refined. Service by the waitress was as good as I've experienced anywhere in the world - literally note-perfect. Right across the street from the Hotel Porta San Mamolo -... More

We tried Le Mura largely on a whim, since it was just down the street from the apartment we were renting and my wife is a big fan of seafood. As others have noted, this restaurant is all seafood all the time, so if you're not a fan, you'll want to give it a miss. For the seafood lover, though,... More

Le Mura is an interesting place. Firstly, as others have said, anyone planning to dine here should be aware that it is a fish/seafood restaurant *only* - there are no alternatives whatsoever. For me this wasn't a problem as I love fish, but if you were expecting something else it's good to be warned. Starting with the positives, the service... More

We ate here because it was late and convenient to where we were staying. The atmosphere and service were good and we felt both welcome and cared for. The menu is however entirely sea food other than desserts. We had "catch of the day", a snapper, that we selected from a choice of three presented whole to us. It returned... More

I still have not figured out what happened on that night. I normally do not rate restaurants but the service at this place made me make an exception. Maybe the staff thought that the Slavic language we spoke was Russian and with MH17 down, they went for a payback. Or they figured correctly that it was Czech and went for... More

Had a lovely meal in this place on our last night in Bologna. The menu is minimal, with just a few seafood dishes to choose from. However, the food is fantastic and this is well worth checking out. Service was excellent and there's a beautiful homemade prickly pear liqueur as a digestivi too... Recommended.

Staying at the Hotel Porta San Mamolo, we assumed we couldn't just eat at the restaurant across the street... having ventured further afield into central Bologna, we returned for a late night bite at Le Mura. Great food, really friendly and welcoming staff. Worth a visit either if staying nearby, or wanting to wander off the beaten track of the... More
