A bit traditional but good

Invited by friends on the hottest night of the year, to find out that the air conditioning was out of order. They moved us down to the cellar only after our request. Been there so many time with customers. As a professional in my field I need to take my customers out to restaurant on evenings. I never been disappointed about the food and the quality of the service. Such people running the restaurant are there to satisfy your palate. I love this place and I would recommend any time.

Very good service, great Menu, good wines, but the most important: both brothers Franco and Lino supervise all time everything. Romantic and family space. All aroud you can see Bolognians eating and drinking. Is a real Bologna Restaurant, not a tourist trap. Wonderfull.

Small restaurant just in front our hotel. Great food and service.A little more expensive than usual but worth it.

This small place has very good food indeed. it is near Independenza and quite close to Piazza maggiore. The people are friendly. it is a pleasure to go there.

Disappointing experience. Last night in Bologna and had wanted a nice final meal. Instead, the food was underwhelming and relatively expensive for what it was. Nothing was particularly fresh or well prepared. Compared to some of the beautiful Bolognese food we have had, this was quite sad.

Arrived here on recommendation from our hotel and a quick review of TripAdvisor suggested it was okay. First impressions were good with friendly staff and a complimentary small wine to welcome. The menu seemed reasonably priced (in theory; get back to that point). We each ordered a primi pasta (ravioli and tortellini in brodo) and a secondi (veal and breaded... More

This is so retro it's amazing! Even the pink menus for the ladies without prices! Certainly the perfect example of " if it isn't broken don't fix it" We had a wonderful evening excellent food & wine by the glass to accompany the courses. Faultless service and excellent conversation with the table next door. Go it's iconic! The Broker is... More

In Bologna and one of my friends had read John Grisham's book 'The Broker' so insisted we visit this restaurant but I won't go anywhere until I looked at Trip Advisor reviews! I wasn't disappointed! What a wonderful welcome into a beautifully quaint restaurant that made a pleasant change to loud, modern places! The table was set lovely and the... More

We were looking for a good ristorante in walking distance from our hotel (Metropolitan) and TripAdvisor showed us to Franco Rossi. We booked our table trough TA as well. We chose the pre-determined 4-course with wine (il Broker). The service was superb, and our sommelier (whom I didn't catch his name) was very service-minded and explained the reasons behind each...
