Tony's exists in another place and time, perhaps some point even before it opened in 1968. There is nothing modern or affected about the place, the service or the clientele- which includes a good mix of regulars and visitors from the neighboring hotels. It is a scene (a brightly lit one at that) run by people who enjoy what they... More

We passed by this restaurant during our first night in Bologna but could not get a table because we did not have a reservation. We thought this is a sign for good food and we made a reservation for the next day for dinner. The service was good but we had a table in the back which I did not... More

An ancient Trattoria with good food and the smallest portions ever at a high price. Couvert 3€, a bottle of water 2,40€ and a digestive after dinner 4€. We were 12 people and for an antipasto for 6 (one every two people) and one dish of tortellini each one we spent 25 euros pro person, a little bit too much... More

A good find in the heart of Bologna serving deliciously cooked regional dishes. We ate outside as the weather was quite mild and cannot fault the service which was efficient and discreet. The pasta dishes were superb and the main courses were tasty and well cooked although the zucchini side dish was a little too bland. The house white was... More

Food consistent and somewhere I would take visiting friends to have the traditional dishes eg lasagna, tortellini, tagliatelle bolognese. Good location, friendly service, almost busy so go early as the lasagna does run out! My favourite is the creme brulee, which is in my opinion the best in Bologna! A tad more expensive but if you want to eat in... More

We ate there and my friends had very good Risotto con fungi and I had a decent home-made Tortteloni con pomodoro. The desert was just ok (fiore di latte and panna cotta). The service is nice, but speed is not their strongest side. With wine and coffee approx. 20€/person.

Original bolognese food.they have only a few dished on the menu but they make them good.we had a spaghetti and soup dinner at 10 o'clock p.m.very good serving and acceptable food.I say it again, not spectacular but, as we were told, a restaurant for local clients.

I just had dinner at Trattoria Tony and I have to say that it was the worst experience I ever had in Italy. Average food with average prices but with a terrible atmosphere and conditions (no air conditioned) and above all I had the worst expetiences ever with a waiter, no education at all!! Besides all of this, you still... More

Just off the main street of Via Indipendenza it is a smallish and unassuming family run restaurant in an area where it has to compete with many other more tourist-orientated restaurants. However, it appears to do this very successfully as it is always crowded. It has tables outside as well as in and taking its popularity as a good sign... More
