Bolognesi dishes, Barcelona chic

Good traditional food with a modern twist. Great homemade breads , and some outstanding dishes. My only criticism is that the cottoletta wasn't crispy and was on the bone. Prices are honest.

This is definitely worth the inevitable taxi ride (no more than 15 mins from centre) that you’ll take to get there (no more than as it seems to be little known and in a suburb (the very knowledgeable hotel concierge had never heard of it) so thank you Tripadvisors for leading us to it. Happy to do the same for... More

Nice linen place settings, warm and friendly atmosphere, family run…what else? Good honest home style cooking. The pasta is not to be missed.

Just great homemade food made by a great chef. Try the salami/cold cuts and cheese as a starter/anitipasti- wow! Service is outstanding. quite a drive from downtown Bologna but worth every minute. excellent wine too at great prices.

You will probably have to take a cab to this restaurant, but it's well worth the trip. The atmosphere is unusual, the host & wait staff very helpful, & the food has some unusual twists. There were only locals the night we dined & that is always a good sign for me. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I recommend the... More

Enjoyed a superb meal at Osteria Satyricon. Cool, quirky restaurant a short taxi ride from town and well worth the visit. Really nice, friendly owners who were very helpful translating menus and keen to make sure we were having a good meal. Great menu, with lots of choice of traditional food and unique twists on traditional food which all sounded... More

Wow! What a spectacular restaurant with amazing food and hosts. Just a short cab ride away from bologna but arguably the best restaurant of our trip to Italy. Had the homemade salumi, the gnocchi with blue cheese/zucchini flowers, tagliatelle and the grilled beef. Wine list is spectacular and extremely fairly priced. Family run operated restaurant--was packed to the gills when... More

We celebrated the 30th birthday of my boyfriend here - what a treat! The Osteria is in a suburb of Bologna, but it was worth taking a cab to get here. The food is beyond comprehension and the owner of the restaurant explained us everything in detail. As an appetizer we had a ham/salami and cheese plate, the sausages are... More
